Activate replacement SIM...

Hi there,

I have a bit of a silly question, although it doesn't seem silly to me.

I got a free Orange PAYG SIM a while back that had £5 free credit with it, mainly to use for the Orange Wednesdays, as it already had the credit on it, so I wasn't spending anything - good money saving there! Anyway - but also to use as an occassional SIM if ever I didn't want to lose my main one while on a night out or something.

Ironically, I misplaced the Orange one and realised this about two weeks ago. I checked online to see if it would cost to get one, as it was just the SIM and not a case of lost phone/SIM. Seemed ok, so popped into the local Orange Shop and had a replacement sent out.

I now have the replacement and the little card has instructions, which are lovely, except toregister this new SIM (and so transfer the mobile number/remaining credit) I need to give the phone's IMEI number.
This poses a problem, as we use my OH's O2-contracted (obviously not locked) phone to use this SIM. Will this be a problem because it is obviouslly already registered to his O2 account?

Oh and it was a bit of a hassle getting the replacement SIM because, although I had to register the original SIM to get the call time added, it was saying it was NOT registered on their system *sigh*

Sorry for being long winded. I do hope someone can help, as I have looked online and not seen a similar problem. Thank you in advance for any help/suggestions :)

(And no, I haven't phoned CS yet, as I didn't want to risk messing up OH's phone if I didn't need to)
