Washing Machine energy consumption?

What I find amusing, is that people automatically assume their washers guzzle electricity, even just doing a rinse or spin. The two largest guzzlers in a washer is the heater, and the motor when doing a fast spin (although it only uses about a quarter of what the heater does).
What I'm trying to say is, a cottons stains 30c cycle will consume less electric than a 40c normal cottons cycle. Sure, a standard 30c cottons cycle will consume a little less - but not that much!Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0
