SCOTTISH and Southern Energy has made the bold move of cutting its prices to coincide with it getting lighter and warmer of an evening.
The company said the cut would represent a £30 a year reduction, or just enough to buy the three litres of Asda Smart Price vodka you are going to need when you open your latest quarterly bill.
A spokesman said: "This our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers and reminding them that unless they want to burn pig dung they can shut it." :rotfl:

I'm with SSE (or rather Scottish Hydro Electricity) and it has cost be about £1200 per year. I use gas more than electricity - 60%. I am about to move house (end of April)...
With this future cut, do I stick with SSE or change provider? Does moving house and going with another supplier considered as a 'switch'? Does British Gas have a lower rate than SSE (after the reduction)?0 -
SSE have not released there prices but on the face of i BG would still be cheaper at typical
BUT......
These are core prices, why would you switch top them ??? they are only for use by door to door sales and telesales. No one in there right mind should switch to a core rate.0 -

If you are on a fixed price tariff or cap, most contracts allow you to take it with you to the new property. You might have a small bill to pay with the current provider(s) of that house if you have to switch to SSE.0 -
