First time BB and new house

Guys,

I am buying a house, vendors have a BT line but no internet or the like. I definately want to set up BB as soon as possible going to go for O2 hopefully, (have checked sam knows and it has LLU o2)

How long will it take to get the internet up and running and what do I actually need to do, especially about their phone line etc etc, Im a FTB so basically a bit clueless!!

thanks

You will first need to contact BT to take over the phone line, and set up an account.
Its possible that the vendor may take their number with them so you will get a new one.
When you have sorted this out then get on to your preferred ISP, takes a couple of weeks.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

As above - you will need your new BT phone number to actually place an order for O2 (or any other) broadband.

O2 normally take about 7 to 10 working days for your broadband to be fully functioning once you've order it.

Apart from phoning BT and requesting line rental, and then ordering O2 broadband (don't forget the quidco cash back) you don't need to do anything else. O2 will just send out the equipment you need for the broadband once you've ordered the broadband (equipment is free, e.g. microfilter and wireless router) - they usually post it out to you so it arrives a few days before they activate your connection.
