this year I'm scanning all of our old negatives and photos and putting them into a digital frame (can get decent ones pretty cheap)
better than them being in albums at the top of her wardrobe0 -

My mum is like that plus allergic 99.9% of smellies, can only wear 18ct gold, got her clothes for Xmas so cant do that again!
This year me and my sis have clubbed together and got her an odd job man for the day, my Dad is useless at DIY and hates gardening so its a chance for her to get all those little niggling jobs done and the tough stuff sorted in the garden. All though having heard her list I think we should have got him for a week!
YDSMI wish I would take my own advice!0 -

I'm taking my Mam for some pampering. She's going to be deep cleaned and massaged! She's had a busy time at work lately, plus she has my daughter some mornings so I can work/study, so she could do with chilling out. I'm going with her to keep her company, so it'll be nice to have a girly chat. Here I go again on my own....0

I got my Mum a digital photo frame last year but unfortunately this year I'm skint (on a DMP - last years was bought from Littlewoods catalogue) so I've bought her a gorgeous card that has a bookmark with it (only £3, so not bad!) and a £10 M&S voucher - I know she'll be happy with that.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

My Mum is elderly & in a nursing home where the diet is ok but not wonderful.
I'll but her some superb fillet steak, cut it into meal size portions, freeze it, put it in the nursing home's freezer & then she can 'order' it whenever she fancies.
I've done this several times for birthday & Xmas, she loves it!"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
We're so lovely we've invited my MIL (to-be) to stay with us for mothers days weekend - which i am really really looking forward to:rotfl:.
Bearing in mind that up to last weekend I hadn't seen her for two years as she lives abroad and then when we met up last weekend the first thing she said to me was that we should change the date of our forthcoming (and very much planned) wedding as the date we have chosen is not at all convinient for her...marvellous !
Really looking forward to next weekend now!0 -
I'm going to be away for mothers day as is my sis and feel really awful (both totally by accident, it's just that it runs close to St Patricks day which we get as a bank hol so both of us booked short breaks before we realised the date), usually we do something the day before, go for lunch or whatever since my mum really hates going out on highdays and holidays (we have both also inherited this as well) - am debating sending flowers which she does like. But need to co-ordinate with sis. Guess this will have to be soon!0
