Ocado - packing raw meat with cooked meat

Please come on! Youll kill yourself with anxiety.
The fact that the meat is in plastic boxes is enough. More than enough. MORE MORE than enough.
Your own meat and personal hygiene in the kitchen is much more likely to give you food poisoning than 2 plastic boxes being in the same carrier bag.
Pretty soon, there will be no plastic trays, and no plastic boxes, and no plastic bags- certianly not the multitude you see given out now! we are talking peak oil big time and if you think that people will be going without lighting & heating so we can have 4 slices of ham in a plastic packet, think again.
I suggest you go and get yourself a BAsic food hygiene certificate to reduce your anxiety, as it really is very misplaced. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

And how many times have I picked up a chicken which is dripping from a tear in the packaging? Plenty.0 -
Tesco website says about their bagless deliveries:
- What about separating cooked / raw meat and other products that should not be cross contaminated?
Where these products may be placed together in to one tray we have instructed Personal Shoppers to continue placing one of them in to a bag before being placed in the green tray.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 - What about separating cooked / raw meat and other products that should not be cross contaminated?

And how many times has it killed you?
More to the point, how many times have you picked up a package of cooked meat, together with a chicken and they both have had damaged packaging?
The chances of both packages being damaged, and the contents of one finding it's way into the other are very slim. The chances of it doing you harm are even slimmer, nature designed us to eat meat raw, most of us can cope with it without getting ill.0 -
I'm with the OP on this. Stores would ALWAYS automatically pack your raw meat separately from the rest of your shopping. In the same way that they would pack your bleach type products separately.Ellie

I am amazed at how many people on here are woefully ignorant of even basic hygeine.
If the basic standard of care fails at the packing stage where else is it falling down . One of the reasons i will never buy meat from a supermarket is it has the potential to pass through many hands before it gets to you , each time increasing risk of contamination .Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0 -

How does that make any difference in the final stage of packing ie to the shopping bags??0
