Different broadband on a virgin line

Hi, does anyone know if I can get a new broadband provider on my Virgin phone line? I don't think I can, but thought I would see if anyone knew of any providers? c

    No, you can't.

You can't get ANY broadband on a Virgin phone-line, a separate cable is used for cable broadband.

Are you on Virgin Media (cable service), or Virgin National (ADSL service)? If it's cable, you are stuck with Virgin. You need a BT line to get any ADSL based broadband service.

    Correct,
VM's phone network works differently from BT's & does not connect to the BT network until it reaches the hubsite, which can be miles away.

You still haven't said if you are on VM cable or Virgin National ADSL?
Changing from VM to BT.. the words 'frying pan' and 'fire' come to mind...
