Would the twisty and rowy thing (twist board and resistance exercise with elastic) count as low impact or high impact?

Did you make a cake in the end Luc? Think you said you might for one of the birthday celebrations. Did you both have fun? :)

I did. Quite pleased with it, especiallyas I was up until midnight to make it and ice it:o

I have to be sneaky to get them to eat decent food.

    ...

I am truly devious when it comes to giving them their 5 a day. :D:D

Don't have trouble with Nathan eating veg or fruit at the minute but I'm sure his turn will come...

snags come around here and be devious will you....anything to get B to eat some normal food *sigh*

although we have just made puff pastry tomato swirls with tom puree, & cheese and also Green pesto and Tomato mini puff pasry pizza...shall try and get her to have some salad with

My deviousness comes purely from the fact that if I served salad to my two, they would look at me like I had lost the plot, and refuse point-blank to even try it. I have been driven to tears in the past trying to get healthy food into them, so now I preserve my sanity and do it the sneaky way. :)

If it looks like a vegetable (unless it's carrots, brocolli or peas with Ryan), they wont touch it, although Natasha does love pasta with tomato based sauces, which Ryan hates.

So I sneak them in, in the hope that a) they will at least get some vitamins, and b) if their palate is exposed to them, they might eventually start to like them.

I'm afraid fresh fruit chunks dipped in chocolate sauce is another of my tricks. They can dip the fruit in the chocolate, but don't get to dip again until they have eaten that piece of fruit (pineapple, strawberries and bananas are the yummiest).

At their age, they burn off the calories, and they always clean their teeth, so the sugar isn't too much of an issue (it's a trade off...would rather they didn't have the sugar, but if it gets them to eat the fresh fruit...)

Mostly they will happily eat fruit just on its own though, it's veg that is the biggest problem.

They made tomato swirls on 'I Can Cook' the other day - was thinking I might have a go at those too.

    low impact.

high impact is where you strike something with your feet/hands e.g. running, boxing, which helps improve bone density and prevent osteoporosis

Did you take any pics Luc?

Low impact Elfen, unless you hit someone with it, in which case, high impact (for them). :D

I do love a nice bit of fruit....I always have at least 2 bits in my lunchbox...so usually bag of apples, grapes, salad or salad filled sarnie/pitta bread and jelly with fruit in :D

Oh, and don't worry bout my question, it counts as Calisthenics (w/e that is) and burns 650 an hour! Bonus! Luc, I went further down the alphabet....and I'm doing half sit-ups and crunches, and resistance work, and it's more the funny c word.....

Have you tried sweetcorn or pea fritters? If they like spices you can use them to make them more interesting and they look like burgers...

No, never tried them, but may well give them a go thanks! Natasha hates sweetcorn with a passion, but I'm convinced its the appearance/texture rather than the taste. And bogey (pea) fritters with ketchup blood sounds like something I could sell to Ryan, no problem! :rotfl:
