Hi everyone,
Hope this finds you all well
Am feeling chuffed - finally sorted out childcare vouchers - had no idea how much the saving would be, so very pleased indeed to have started the ball rolling
Today:
-collect eggs from hens and think up more eggy dishes!(They're working hard this week, and already had quiche, omlette and cake this week!)
-have checked banking - checking every day really does make a massive difference
-fix handle on nursery door somehow with my very limited DIY skills!
-any surveys, CTs etc
-long walk with baby after his settling in morning at nursery - he has been going for 2 hours for last few days and so far loving it! The staff are lovely, and he seems to be settling in well, and lots of smiles and cuddles when i collect him.
-start thinking about Christmas! Always leave it to last minute - we are saving £2 coins so far and tesco clubcard points and i bought wrapping paper and cards in sales, but would like to start thinking about things i could make/buy over the year as pressies
-my DH is now very onboard with getting rid of our debt (after lots of years of denial!) and he made 2 overpayments to CCs last night - really proud of him, and he now has his speadsheet and I have mine! They have the same numbers and all on, but arranged differently to suit us both! We're having a laugh about it now, and all so much easier now we have a shared aim.
-washing on lines outside to dry
Have lovely days everyone

Hiya Billie welcome to the thread - I love it its a bit like if I publish my 'lists' it sometimes gives me more incentive to get them done plus its nice to sometimes motivate others etc ;-)
doing better today almost ready to leave for work and everything above that is done ;-)
hopefully I have left enough time to drive conservatively!!!
Have a good day everyone

Irish mist (you prob know this already) but if you have too many eggs you can freeze eggs if you crack them and put them into a container put them either in a collection of say 2,3,4,5,6 broken into a tub - I do this for cakes etc
Or individually in bun trays - silicon ones are best and they just pop out and then you can pop the 'frozen egg' into a bag.that is of course if you have too many!

Hi all,
I took T back to school this morning and as soon as we arrived he promptly chucked up in the cloakroom! So I have been to work briefly and collected stuff to do at home while my little soldier recuperates on the sofa. I am finding it hard to be motivated working in the kitchen though - I have already eaten a Wotsits sandwich and I appear to be on here instead of working.
Anyhow my DFW things are:
1) Work hard for my pennies.
2) NSD - not planning on going anywhere later.
3) Packed lunches already made so will have them for lunch and all other meals from stores.
4) Check banking, quidco, SC etc
5) List items for sale on Gumtree / Netmums
6) Hokey cokey and dry it outside in the sunshine. (BILLIE - we call washing hokey cokey - in, out, shake it all about. There, that makes it more exciting doesn't it?!)
I'm sure I will think of other things later.
Ooh,last night I made an online order from Bananas. It cost £25.50 but I now have 12 great presents for my present stash including a book about the Eden Project for MIL, and sets of Ben 10 books - 4 books for £3. It's well worth a look at the moment, especially if you have lots of kids parties to buy for.
Right, must get my bum into gear and do some work! See you later, L x0 -
Sorry to hear Little T poorly Lurleene xx

Hi everyone
Quick catch up cos I'm in work. Will catch up properly later this evening...
My list for Thursday goes like this:
- boring toast for lunch - didn't have time to sort anything else this morning. Have a collection of jam/spreads in my desk drawer so I'm sure I'll survive.
- tuna pasta tonight with v cheap & v tasty HM tomato, onion and black olive sauce. Just thinking - might add a value garlic bread to top it up and save some pasta for tomorrow's lunch. It's value pasta too - never used it before - anyone know if it's any good??? Maybe I should buy some other stuff on the way home from work...
- making the most of work's free tea & sparkling water.
- yoga tonight will keep me out of internet-shopping trouble and will remind me that one day I will be a yoga teacher on a beach somewhere (also planning to start the course when I pay off my c/c so extra motivation to get it paid off asap!)
- charge phone @ work
- not buy any new clothes for weekend away, even though I've seen the 25pc off sale!!
- smile that I now have the stuff to make my wedding invites and it's come to less than a third of the price I budgeted
- smile that I've heard them mention the 'overtime' word at work

Triangle - well done on the loss, but no reason why the loss should slow now, just keep at it
Today I have:- Worked 6 hr shift
- Kids took lunch boxes to school
- Breakfast to work
- Manager bought me coffee
- Took tea bags in for breakfast break
- Lunch from stores
- NSD....so far, though I do have some stuff I need to get but really too tired to go out so might make a list for tomorrow
- Cut out some coupons for weekly shop
- Checked banking, think the money fairy may have been as I seem to have more than I budgeted for :j maybe constantly telling myself that there is no money in there is working
- Signed up to paperless billing with Eon and checked tracker thing and I am 6.8% down on usage, now just need to find out which tarriff I should switch to
- Go to SW, may walk
- Check MSE to see which gas tarriff is best with Eon and then switch Still working on it but have just switched from quarterly bill payment to monthly DD - £35, so much easier! My autumn quarter was under £35 so hopefully will be in credit a bit for next winter
- Make a shopping list using mysupermarket, but may go to M as I have 10% discount and they have some FAB deals on atm
- Make a To Do list for tomorrow, inc the things I need to buy and get it all in one day to maximise my NSD
- Dinner from stores
- Bake something.....maybe cookies or rock cakes? Needed for lunches tomorrow
- Organise kids lunches and clothes tonight for ease in the morning
- Finish March meal plan before March is over lol
- May get away with not putting DW on again today.....
