in Water bills
I found out today that if you have 3 or more kids at home then you are entitled to have your water meter bill capped at £250 per year. Well worth the application form cos my bill for the last six months alone was £371.
This is with Welsh Water (Dwr Cymru). I don't know if its the same in the rest of the UK. Here's hoping...

I've just looked at their on-line literature (our water bills are £500+ p.a.) but you need to be in receipt of benefits as well as having 3 school aged children in full time education to have eligibility for this0

Think this is now called the watersure scheme and as far as I know all companies offer it, as it's a government backed scheme. Definitely worth it. Certain medical conditions qualify as well. It's a shame it's not more well known.0

one of the benefits that you can be in receipt of is "Child Tax Credit"; anyone with kids earning less than about £50k is eligible for child tax credits0
