Question - as i've just had a letter from Nationwide re: the £75 offering

I did as advised on here.....
set up a standing order ( i actually set up 2) to pay my mother & girlfriend.
Applied for my Nationwide FlexAccount to deal with it (this was last week)
Saw numerous people asking on here as well as myself - DO YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR WAGES PAID INTO YOUR FLEXACCOUNT ALSO???
One such example: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2277661
Time and time again i see people advising - NO YOU DO NOT.
So today i receive a letter from Nationwide & it's telling me i need to do the very thing that i've been advised on here that i don't need to do
I took some scans of the documents sent through
Anyone care to shed light? Anyone been paid their £75 yet?

Surely you must have to use it as your main account if you want the £75 bonus? (That's what the thread title seems to be asking anyway)0

its not in the T&C's, only standing orders and direct debits are covered
best had be the case....i sweated blood and tears for all of 8 minutes to set up some dummy SO and DDs on an old account and initiate a transfer.
I want paying! lol.....if I got paid like this for every 8 minutes of work, I'd pull in a pre-tax salary of £1.17 million a year!Debts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my Debts

I've also had one of these letters and have ignored it. As onlypaddy says it is not in the Ts and Cs - a stark contrast to the A&L offer when it is in the Ts and Cs. After all its not unreasonable for NW to remind you to change the account for your salary to be paid into and the letter doesn't set any new conditions.0

The terms and conditions of the offer can be read here:-
http://www.nationwide.co.uk/popup/recentpromotions.htm
There is no requirement to switch your salary to the account to qualify for the £75.0 -

Absolutely agree that it is not unreasonable to suggest that you need to have money in your account in order to pay those SOs you set up in order to transfer them.:)I've also had one of these letters and have ignored it. In reality you just need to ensure that you do have money in the account by the time the SOs (and DDs) are taken.
Also remember that, with this offer, there is no "grace period" which some other providers have offered where they would cover such payments out whilst the transfer of the account was going on.0
