Printing O2 bills - no PDF avail! Claiming cashback

Why dont O2 provide the facility to download a copy of your bill as a PDF?

All you can print out is some sort of mess that looks like your bill but doesnt provide all the information.

Has anyone successfully printed this out and managed to claim cashback using this rubbish?

Have you tried using a pdf printer - like cute pdf

    http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/Writer.asp

Basically, this lets you print whatever is on your screen to a pdf file.

I resorted to a rather clunky workaround.

Enlarge your browser to Full-screen by clicking F11.

Copy an image of your screen (bill) by pressing 'Prt Scr' on your keyboard.

Paste the image into a simple image program like IrfanView, but failing that Word or something like that should work.

Crop off the extraneous bits of the webpage.

    Print and send!

    Hope this helps someone.

Thats what I did in the end.
  • I recently purchased an O2 phone on a Pay Monthly tarrif, with a free one month insurance, only to discover when I tried to cancel it that unless you do this within 14 days you are stuck for the rest of the contract.

    :(

That's wrong, you can only cancel the contract within 14 days, the insurance you can cancel at any time.

I suggest calling them back :)

Just an update - Mobiles.co.uk. accepted a bill printed out in this fashion without any quibbles. Overall, I have found them to be very good with the cashback. They were a bit late once, but when I emailed them, I got a prompt and acceptable reply.

if you want to convert to PDF then why dont you use openoffice. it is free and good. you can use it instead of paying for msoffice and can do almost all that msoffice does for the general user.
