o2/mobiles.co.uk cashback problems!!!

Aargh. Need to send my bill off to mobiles.co.uk this month to claim my cashback. Only problem is my bill hasnt arrived in the post yet.

Phoned o2 about 10 days ago and they said they'd send another one. Phoned them yesterday because it still hadnt arrived !!!!!

To be fair to mobiles.co.uk, they do say you can print off an online bill. Trouble is - have you seen o2s website? Doesnt really offer an option to print in any sort of decent format.

Got a few days now before my 30 day cashback limit runs out. I'd rather not send a useless printed out bill in case they reject me because not all the info is on there......

Not happy with flippin' o2 !!!!

It will be the September bill. Ignore bill numbers.

Can't you go into the o2 shop to get it printed?

    Nope.

OP, o2 don't offer paper billing as default anymore so it may be that its not set up on your account. You can ask them to set you up for VAT billing online and this will allow you to print off the bill as you would receive it through the post. It wont kick in until your next bill is produced though.

I take it these companies wont accept screenshots submitted online?

Ah sucks... most networks are doing this now, Orange charge.
Only fair as it costs to send them etc.

Do we think there will be some ahem 'negative correlation' between cashback deals requiring paper bills and customers being unable to get them.

Looks like a recipe for lots of people to lose their cashback

I used vista "snipping tool" to capture an image of my o2 bill taken from " my account " page on o2 website. and saved the image as a jpeg. I have attached the image to the "contact us form " email address for cashback on Mobiles.co.uk website and sent it off twice. On both occasions the jpeg was accepted as proof of the bill and the cashback paid ( a little slowly, but that's mobiles for you ). each time i received email acknowledgement that the bill had been received and cashback process statred within 30 mins. saves sending the bill by recorded delivery and is easier all rounf in my opinion.
  • THX mobilejunkie.I do not deny your opinion but could u confirm me that?purchase was 23th february, first bill date 25th february payment due on 11th march.24 months contract. So what month should I send them?(you probably thought march was 1st bill time).and just this ONE bill for first point?

Yes, I did think it was March ("just bought"). It will therefore be the August bill and you should send it (and only that one for the first claim) as soon as you receive it (despite having 60 days to claim). Bill numbers, first bills and payment dates are irrelevant and have always been misleading with cpw companies in particular.
