I use any type of tinned fruit (which is reduced in the borken/damaged goods bit) blitz it in the food processor and then add a dash of cordial. they always taste lovely and not just like flavoured ice! Involve kids in making them too which is good fun. Any spare mix can be left in fridge for a couple days too be frozen later when you have a spare mould. (I think this also counts as a portion of your five a day!) Will definately be trying the angel delight and yoghurt ideas. looneyleo

Oooh don't disappoint me JenIttels - I'm going for mine tonight after work. Was there no moulds at all, or just the rocket ones.

Our Tesco's is not that huge so if your's is a giant store, what hope have I:(

They didn't seem to have any at all! I was so disappointed! But it seems that plenty of other people have managed to find them so i'm assuming i was just aisle blind :o

Probably a stupid sounding question but whereabouts in tesco did you find them? I've been after some and even our gigantic tescos doesn't have any in the kitchenwares section. Couldn't think where else in the store they might be...

I spent about half an hour looking in the homeware section and then asked an assistant.
She pointed me in the direction of the very same section!!!
Eventually asked another assistant who told me they were in one of the big dumper bin thingies that Tesco's have near the front of the store.
    Hope you find them.
In answer to another persons question....what is sasparilla...It is a cordial that I remember having when I was a child (used to also get sasparilla flavoured sweets)
Cannot find it very often anymore. I got mine from a country fair.
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

:( my tescos don't have icelolly moulds. I looked around, then asked at customer services but they said they don't sell them! Mind you they didn't even try to check their records, just said no straight away - still there's sainsbury's and asda to try yet :D

I used to drink sasparilla when I was young and loved it. I come from Co Durham and when we moved to yorkshire, I can't remember my mum buying it again, so perhaps it was a northern thing? Although I do remember a market stall in Bradford old market that sold pies and sasparilla - just like a fish and chip shop - it was very popular. Nowadays I like Dr Pepper and Root Beer as they have similar tastes - does anyone agree?

BTW If you are ever up in this part of the world, nearby in Howarth (Bronte Country) there is a shop which sells loads of sasparilla items - sweets, cordial, root and whatever else you can do with it. He has a sign in his window claiming that the sasparilla root is very good for men (for their -ahem- private regions for personal satisfaction) if you get my drift ;) He says it's better than Viagara. Needless to say I've not tried it so cannot vouch that the claim is right:D
