Got a Baby Lamb!!! what do I do??

I don't want to quote your post as I believe it is extremely rude. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but there is no need for downright rudeness (that's my opinion)
Again, why is my post extremely rude? The OP is saying she is overweight in every post she puts on here, so when I quote her why does that make me extremely rude??? I had been away for a long weekend, came back expecting the OP to say this was a wind up and then I see that photo of the lamb in a cot, it took my breath away.0 -
A bit out of line, Infact way out of line.
I know Julie off mse as well as on mse.
Before you start ridiculing her weight issues, she has no weight issues, she is a slim tall blond, she doesn't need to lose a pound at all but she feels she needs to and that's up to her.
Her husbands side is Cypriot not hers.
She and her hubby have worked very hard and just started a new business, so thoroughly deserve the lifestyle they live.
No comment regarding the lamb issue as my views are totally different to hers, but knowing Julie like i do, i know she isn't out to be evil to anything let alone a lamb.
And again - WHO is ridiculing her weight issues? I merely quoted her own by line. (And to be honest, I agree with you, 7 lbs is neither here nor there to me, but obviously important to the OP)
And why do we need a run down of her background??
I dont think the thread is in the right place and I shall not check it out again as obviously its not a wind up but genuine and Im sorry - it horrifies me.
So thats its guys - not a word from me again on this and I hope I can get that photo out of my mind.0 -
Why is it nasty? Im not the one who said the OP was overweight, she has it in every post she puts on here.
The fact that several people found your post rude/ offensive should say something to you. If a colleague at work/ your mother/ close friend was discussing her membership of Slimming World you would feel comfortable saying the following in her presence would you?
"As [insert name] says she is already overweight I wonder just what else she has had sitting on her sofa waiting to be consumed."
Perhaps you could congratulate the OP on her weight loss instead of ridiculing her for weight gain?

To be fair though, several people found the idea of someone keeping a lamb in the house, without companionship of his own kind, and without grass to graze on, and space to roam in pretty offensive too... he is being denied the opportunities to display his natural behaviour just as much as a battery chicken is.
I know it does not sit at all comfortably with me.0 -
Why did the lamb call the police?
He had been fleeced...0 -

Nor me,FC.But then i find that most people who think meat is an essential part of life also turn a blind eye to how an animal is reared. After all if it is going to be eaten then what does it really matter ?.
And yes i am a vegetarian and cannot understand for a minute how someone can have an animal living in the house that should be outside,in a flock, and see it day after day, thinking only of how good it will taste(OP's words, not mine).0 -

I have zero problem with people expressing their views to that effect and I sincerely hope the OP has taken them on board. You politely stated your opinion; several others were more forthright but gave constructive criticism. I draw the line at mocking a poster's physical appearance. Is it acceptable to poke fun at the colour of someone's skin or their disability? That sort of talk does not even belong in the playground.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -

I kept my opinions on whether or not OP should raise the lamb to myself, just pointed out to OP that the poor lamb should be given special formula.
I do have strong opinions about how the lamb is being kept, and like you I find it offensive that he hasn't got company of his own kind, freedom of a field to run and play in but my opinion isn't going to change the way OP rears the lamb.
I haven't eaten lamb for 20 years so I'm not just turning a blind eye.
The personal rudeness was what didn't sit well with me. We are all adults here and I would hope beyond personal snipes and insults0 -
Poor lamb, i think what your doing is an extremely cruel way to save a few bucks.
You have ruined my day.0 -
Julie had a litte lamb, his fleece was white as snow
and everywhere that Julie went, Lamby was sure to go.
To MSE went Julie, the forumites cried "Oh No!"
But Julie wouldn't listen, his destiny was kleftico.0
