Then they want my ni number and licence can understand my licence not really ni number now they want a letter from my previous insurer for ncb its like a time warp going back 10 years terrible company in my opinion just make it as hard as possible why?
  • Don’t touch them with a barge pole. Scam artists!
  • Absolutely disgusting!
Had to pay £25 to cancel a policy that hadn't even started, it was 3 weeks away from inception, policy documents came through AFTER I paid the premium, then I found the policy inadequate.
Way too much pressure to buy other unwanted products afterwards.
Online reviews are suspiciously perfect naming staff members, possibly written by them?
CHEAP NASTY SCAMMERS, AVOID THIS LOT, THERE ARE DECENT HONEST BROKERS OUT THERE!

  • Hi,
I also have had a nightmare with these people. After finally and expensively cancelling the contract and being assured by their staff I would have no more dealings with them I have just been debited over £100 for a recalculation of my cancellation fees. I scrapped the van and cancelled the policy seven months ago! They are basically just using the fact that they have my bank details and that their call centre is now closed (covid19) to steal from me. If anybody has advice on who best to go to or contact to make an official attempt to get my money back, I would be grateful. They kept recalculating costs and charging me whilst I was an official client of theirs too. They hiked up my insurance after I bought it by several hundred pounds based on a speeding ticket and the call-centre staff seem to genuinely enjoy talking to you like !!!!!! and bellowing their nonsense legal obfuscations at you. Worst comnpany I have ever dealt with.
  • I insured with these "people" and then cancelled. It has cost me £101.Do not go near this company. If you really want to be put off , look at the owners profile.
  • I was insured for the past year but have cancelled auto-renewal. I had one non-fault accident (the driver had admitted fault). I had completed the admin that they requested after what seemed like a long phone discussion just to make a claim. Courtesy car was not requested by me and nobody was injured. They got my rear car bumper repaired. I thought that that was it.
However, almost one year later I have received a letter from OCL solicitors explaining that they have been instructed by One Call Claims because they had not recovered the outstanding repairs as the third party has not settled the claim with One call claims. And that if they refuse to settle that I may be required to attend court.
I think this is totally unnecessary for the claim made, which was just some damage to the rear bumper. I have a text message from the driver with an apology for the accident which was due to a sneeze. I don't want to attend court. They want me to give permission to deal with the claim. Is it a scam?

its not a scam but just reality that happens sometimes.  It is highly unlikely you will need to go to court.  It's a remote possibility.

You may think it is totally unnecessary but you wrong. The other party is not paying up (via their insurance).   The alternative is you accepting it as an "at fault" claim on your record and losing some NCD in the process.
