    Sammy - my family wanted DH and I to foster my cousins children, she died of cancer 2 years ago and left 3 kids (under 7).....as much as I'd have liked to I knew that I wouldn't be able to give my girls so much attention and didn't feel that was fair. I have a great deal of admiration for those who can do it.

    (oh and my sister got a new contract last week - working for Mclaren...she's allowed to stroke the cars ((that's not the job - I don't think they have car strokers)) I don't get on very well with her but am very proud that she beat 8 men for the job!)

    nope, she didn't want me when i was born so why would she want me now? my attitude is that the persons who brought me up are my mum and dad

    I do know that i was named Helen and my birth mum had me christened, because they thought i wasn't going to make it, and my surname was hill, when my mum and dad adopted me they were allowed to change my surname but not my christian name so they added Claire thats why i go by my middle name.

    My niece's birth mother was only 14 when she had her..its an open adoption and she had changed her surname to that of her birth mother (mainly because my sisters name is as bad as mine)
