Thanks evesham, I've had a look on there but (sorry for being thick!!) I cant seem to bring up the Just 15 ticket, or cant you book it online. I'd rather prebook to ensure she gets a ticket if its possible. Thanks

You can book it on through https://www.nationalrail.co.uk, making sure you choose Birmingham Snow Hill (not Stourbridge) to Elmers End - or just buy one at your local station (in advance if needs be).

They arent subject to availability or anything, they are a just-turn-up-and-buy-on-the-day type ticket. Plus, if your daughter has a railcard, its only £10.

Birmingham New St to Leeds - is £11.50 each way for your dates.
    - add on a fare of Hednesford to Birmingham New St for £4 each way.

The Birmingham to Leeds leg needs to be bought in advance through https://www.virgintrains.com, otherwise the price will go up.

No discounts, as unforntualy the code for saving £5 is on individual tickets over £20 and not per transaction.

If you go on national rail site and put in your requirements it comes up with the different fares. Wigan to Cardiff is £38 cheapest, Manchester to Cardiff is £20 cheapest.

Advanced tickets are not available for June yet - but they will be £22.50 each way. With the discount code through TheTrainLine, although this may not be still available when you come to buy your tickets, it will be £17.50 each way.

  • Hello everyone, I'm new to this, but I'd just like to say a great big thank you to one and all who have posted soooooooo many good discounts and comments.

I have booked my tickets to Liverpool next thursday for £7.50 for a long weekend of MADNESS!!!!!! I can't wait.:j

I've managed to download the coupns and vouchers, but the coupons seem to always come out larger than the spaces provided for on the vouchers.

What size are they supposed to be????? Can somebody please, please, please let me know.

    Thank you all once again.

Hi, I'm looking to book train tickets in June too. Do you (or anyone else) know when the cheapest tickets do go on sale? Train is on Virgin, the Value A tickets are on sale, but the B and C cheaper ones are not. Who'd have thought booking a train ticket could be so complicated (I've got seperate dates for MegaTrain and ScotRail services going on sale!).
