You could try megatrain HERE, only 3 trains a day from Manchester-Glasgow but usually available for £1 each way add a cheap return Liv-Man £13ish.
Megatrain is only accepting bookings until 1st April at the moment, so you will have to check them in a couple of weeks

Has anyone experienced problems by printing out the tokens and sticking them on, as they're not printed on newspaper paper and are actually on regular computer copier paper? I just worry that I'll flash my coupon and the guard will throw me off the train somewhere in the Midlands!!

    Hi All,
Well, I am on the Virgin train to Edinburgh writing this! £5 Each way from Crewe!
The guard just checked my tickets and didn't ask for the coupons so.... so far so good :o)
I have the return journey on Monday to make yet though, will report what that's like when and if I get home!

Many thanks to lemontart for uploading the vouchers, cheers.

  • Don't forget you can use quidco at last minute.com if you can't find a better deal go via their travel train link to trainline :)
  • Can anyone help with Liverpool - London? I'd be wanting to arrive anytime before 1 pm Sat 19th May and leave anytime Sun 20th from 1 pm. Any suggestions for split-ticketing would be gratefully welcomed :) I know it's a bit too early to check May now so I've been trying weekends in April. Thanks!

Once the Value Advance Fares are released it would be £12.50 each way from Liverpool to London

If I have read it correctly, Morf downloaded the tokens and forms from the Daily Mail website, therefore they are expecting you to print them? If that is the case, do they need printing in colour or doesn't it matter?

    Many thanks

Any pointers for the best deals for Cov to York in May?

Trawling thru Virgin gives me a £45 return fare.

I have a summer of stag dos to go to and the train fares are mounting up already!

  • Hi,

Never booked a train ticket online before (!) so welcome any advice you can give ...

Trying to book a single adult ticket to Preston from Watford on the evening of Friday 2 March but can only get a £62 fare.

Does anyone have any idea if I can improve on this, please?

    Thanks

  • Hi
I am a lurker on this site and don't post very often but need to buy a train ticket from Leeds to London on the morning of the 10th March returning the following day mid morning and the cheapest I seem to be able to find it is £70 per person (2 adults travelling). Can anyone help me improve on this? Not wise to the tricks of the trade yet!
    Thanks
    Louise
