Hi All,

We are 4 adults and three children wanting to go from Edinburgh to London on July 28 and return either on July 31 or August 1 after 3 pm.

We have a family railcard. The cheapest I can find is £112 one way and same for return. Appreciate any help in getting a better rate.

If you go on https://www.megatrain.com you can travel from Edinburgh to Manchester for £17.00 for all 7 people on 7.20 from Edinburgh Waverley, arriving 11.13 at Manchester Piccadily. Then it will cost £40.20 in single fares from Manchester to Euston with family railcard, 11.45 arriving 14.03.

Back will cost £40.20 single fares leaving 14.35, arriving 16.46 Manchester.
There is then a bit of a wait until 17.58 arriving Edinburgh 21.32. Cost will be £17.00 on Tuesday 1st and £27.00 on Monday 31st using Megatrain as above

Me and a mate (2 adults ) are trying to get to Burnley from London on the 5th of august leaving London at around 9/ 9 30 and being at Burnley no later than 1.30 and return any time after 5.30 on the same day

Currently I have found the cheapest tickets are £37.50 per person , does anyone know of any cheaper tickets or any dicounts codes that I can use ??

I have booked the megatrain tickets. Has anyone travelled with them? It seems there is 1 coach that has megatrains name on the virgin train and you cant book seats.

Is there a rush on megatrains?

Hi again

I travelled with megatrain on Wednesday with South West trains and there was one carriage for megatrain customers and the seating is unreserved so it pays you to get there 15 mins before the train leaves. I had heard that Virgin does not have a specific megatrain carriage but don't worry, as long as you have the booking ref, they are happy.

i could also travel the week after 21st leave warirngton and come back from glasgow on the 22nd
