    Go Isla! Clever girl :j

Gisi I'm so sorry, I meant to put well done Henry on my last post and forgot :o

So Well Done Henry :T How is my potential future son inlaw lol?

I'm convinced I've lost all my social graces since I gave birth :o I sat with my uncle for 2 hours the other day and the fact it was his 60th the next day was mentioned a few times, I got home and realised I had'nt even thought to wish him a Happy Birthday :o

You don't have to rub lansinoh off first, and much the same as sudocreme, less is more... Apply as often as you need to but a thin smear is more effective than a great glob of it...

A lot of hp's don't like it because it's only a short term fix, it doesn't help the long term problem (poor latch) but sometimes you do what you have to ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

EA, in the hospital the nurses told DD she could just put a rolled up blanket in a 'U' shape round Poppies legs to do the same thing. X

Pigpen - The BF lady said i had to lower her as i had her to high. The MW, my GP and her have given me all different info lol.

well you did as she suggested and are now sore.. try raising her.. you can always lower her again if it doesn't help.

When mine were new I had them raised on 2 pillows so they were at the right level when I sat upright in the armchair. Oddly i found sitting crosslegged with them supported on one pillow was comfiest.

There's a distressing amount of misinformation! Basically trust the one that has the most experience/knowledge in bfing (I typed out a long and dull reply but I'll stop!) (I don't know what Pigpen is btw but she really sounds like she knows what she's doing!)

I trained as a breastfeeding counsellor with the NCT 6 years ago after training as a surestart peer supporter I kind of got too involved lol. I have also got 12 years of breastfeeding experience.. from premature babies to toddlers.. I even tandem fed DD's 3 and 4 until I got pregnant with DD5.

Is why i asked on here as alot of you are currently doing it and none of them are :)

OH has succesfully managed to get Lily in her crib to sleep! It took him dragging it into the living room though, but she's asleep and not screaming :D

He was in Babies R Us earlier trying to buy a snugglenest to see if that helped, but the shop assistant was really rude to him. They dont sell them apparently even though it says they do on the website :(

The one in Southampton does sell them, EA. We bought one there when Henry was about three days old! They're not that useful though, tbh. Great news on Lily being in the crib though. She will get used to it, it's just they prefer being snuggled. Does she have a sleeping bag? We found that helped.

No worries :D. I'm the same! I think I am a bit socially incompetent at the moment. Your future son inlaw is currently sleeping snugly :D. He's loving the ring sling that Sami's fairies kindly sent and generally being cuter and cuter each day. I think this is a lovely age, don't you?!

EA do you have a TK maxx? I got my snugglenest in there for £14, I would offer to lend it you but my sisters borrowed it for her DS.

I find like pigpen that feeding with legs crossed and one pillow is comfiest if Im in a proper chair or with my feet up and a rolled up blanket or pillow on the sofa.

ooh.. sleeping thing.. EA.. try wrapping her in the top you have worn.. your smell will reassure her and she may settle better.. I went through 3-4 tops a day for a while lol Until I had this bright idea of.. sleeping with 2-3 muslins and putting those in the cribs!!
