Welcome EA! :T Congrats on lovely lady Lily and sounds like you got the birth you wanted :D.

The 1st night is the hardest, anyone will tell you that. Finn didn't want to sleep in his basket at all those first few and did similar of taking shifts with him sleeping on us. Have you tried the main tricks - hot water bottle, towels under the mattress, etc? They can help get you over the hump. Also important that you put her in it for naps so she gets the message that crib = sleep.

Good luck and take it easy on yourself! She's lovely :D

Lot of poopiness on here tonight!

    Hi Weezl, missed you :)

SS, I had period pains and no period for months before they started back up...

Back in a min, need to check on Aimee's birthday cake... Was going to make it tomorrow but with the probability of her not going to school tomorrow thought I best crack on and get it done while she's in bed...

Ooh, Caitlyn just let go of the settee for like 3 seconds just stood there on her own :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Krystal- Yippee for standing Caitlyns! I showed hubby you on Google earth and he was well impressed that I 'know' someone on there!

EA- congratulations hun! You did amazingly, and I'm so pleased you and Lily got home so quickly. The whole feeding/sleeping thing does get much, much easier so stick with it. I had mega sore nipples for the first week or so. Lansinoh was a big help, and seeing a BF specialist MW was also great. We used a hot water bottle in the moses basket for a few minutes before putting bubs in, and that seemed to help (take it out before you put bubs in, of course). We also found that sleeping bags were a big help, and as Lily is a big'un you should have no problems using them straight away (we did with H).

On the biggest baby front, I think SB's Jamie was over 10lb (sorry if that's already been said).

SS- I also sometimes get period type pains but no sign of anything yet (16 weeks today).

A HV asked me if Henry liked feeding himself finger foods yesterday...he's only 16 weeks old!
:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator :p
  • Weezl - so glad my breast shields have found a good home, glad you are managing to wear them.

So sorry about Fergie. Was it his antilop that collapsed? Is there anything that we should all be checking?

Lovely to see you, I have been worried xx

Weezl nice to see you back. Hope Fergie makes a speedy recovery. Did you get my PM about the hosepipe / tap adapter thingy? Just let me know if you want me to send it :)

I have had a lovely day meeting pg friend and new mummy friend for lunch. Her son is now 4 months and is such a cutie - and massive compared to Alfie at 16lbs now!

Very much looking forward to the sling meet tomorrow and meeting the lovely Glam and Sami :D Just need to get myself organised and out of the house early!
