Morning,
We are up a bit earlier this morning. Usually put Holly back to sleep, but decided to get up instead and head to the Parent & Toddler group which is a bit early sometimes!
Hammy - that hotel looks gorgeous. I am sure you will have a fab time. We will prob go self catering too so we have kitchen facilities.
When is Alice's birthday Susan? Enjoy your day.
Happy Birthday to Boogelly Boo!!! :bdaycake: (Hope I have this right!)
Good luck with the exam Becles.0 -
all this talk of flexible working makes me annoyed - was told before I left that my job is full time and office based so no flexible working for me
but it did occur to me if I ask, knowing I don't want to go back, and they refuse and I know there are no other roles suitable, do they have to make me redundant (and pay me likewise?!)
You can ask but they can refuse. You can appeal and they can still refuse. You are not being made redundant because you are not wanting to return but your job remains. They do not even have to offer you another job other than your job if you take Additional Mat Leave ie anything over the first 26wks.
Constructive dissmissal I'm pretty sure does not stand up in cases like these.0 -
Well we had the worst night ever here.
E woke at 3.30 for his second feed, I got the bottle and went into his room, and his eye were wide awake, I was thinking ohh no please dont be wide awake, well he was!!!
I fed him (which usually sends him back to sleep in the middle of the night) changed him, winded him, rocked him, nothing! I was so tired (I havent really caught up on sleep all week) he just did not want to go back to bed, so I brought him downstaris and he played in his swing, and I was in tears, I was so tired.
OH eventually got up (how much does someone have to cry before OH comes to check on me) he took over
And he tried him in his bed and down here and etc he eventuqally got him back to sleep at 5am
Then OH !!!!ed me off something rotten lol, his alarm went off at half 7, and he was so f-ing loud getting up, I wsa like can you be quiet I am still trying to sleep here, so he went in bathroom to get ready
Then came back in and said arent you going to get up and wave me off :mad::mad::mad: yes I love to wave him off but I am usually up with E when he goes to work, seeing as E was in bed I wanted to stay there
So I got up to wave him off and then of course E woke up for more food, argh lol roll on his home time from work lol
He was wanting to go on this lovely walk tonight with us and his friends and I might ask him to go with his friends and take E in the carrier and give me a night to myself

I wouldn't think she would have a case for Constructive Dismissal either, but I seem to remember from the pregnancy thread that things weren't going well at work so just wondering if they are trying to make it difficult for her to come back to work. They have already refused her flexible working when she hasn't even asked for it yet. I can understand not being keen on compressed hours or home working etc, but job sharing is probably suitable in most jobs, so I would have thought they have to give it proper consideration rather than refuse before she has even put a proposal together.
What you up to today? Has K had you up early? I was up at 3 and 6 as usual to put Holly's dummy in as she was moaning in her sleep. But by 7am she was wide awake!0 -

Heading back to catch up now
Hugs Kindof.
1. Tell your OH to see himself off to work, you are not a Stepford Wife and you need some sleep.
2. Good idea, get him to take E out this evening and give you some time to yourself.
3. Take naps when E is napping during the day. Don't spend time catching up on here. Before you have a breakdown, get sleep whenever you get the chance.
4. I don't think it's that unusual for babies to be waking during the night at such a young age, and they still have to learn that night time is for sleeping, so don't be too hard on him or yourself if he doesn't fall straight back to sleep. Just sleep anytime E is for the time being. It's the only way you will catch up on some Zzzs. And don't believe everyone who says their baby is sleeping through the night - most of the time it's probably not the full story!
Right, dirty nappy to change then shower and get ready. Catch you all later. x0 -
Swimming today! K was up every half hour from 2am. Just moaning and wanting his dummy really but he just couldn't get into a deep sleep. Think its still these muckle top teeth giving him pain. They are 'in' but they've still a way to come down so must still be sore.
Hes happy as larry now, rolling about his George pirate blanket shouting on his Dada lol
What time is your group?0 -

9.30-11.30 but it's a 20 minute drive so I will be late as usual and not get a parking space!! Really must change Holly - she stinks!! x0 -
Morning all,
Fitz your right, it is my birthday today, thank youIsla woke me up by squealing and patting me on the head, I like to think it's her way of sending me her best wishes :rotfl:
It's my OH's birthday too and he went out clubbing last night and has today off work, I've left him in bed as I think he may have a sore head when he wake's upI know where my pressie's are though and I'm dying to open them, I might take him a coffee up soon
Susan is it Alice's birthday today too? Best wishes to her too :bdaycake:I hope you have a lovely day out.
Koag - please take it easy on yourself and try to get some naps in. Don't feel you need to stay caught up on here, I regularly wander in, read a page, post randomly and wander out again and (I hope) no-one minds. Elliots still really young and some night's he might be up for 90 mins, Isla used to feed for hours even in the night and it would seem like forever before I could go back to sleep but once I realised I couldn't change it and just had to go with it things seemed a lot easier. As my mum always says to me if I am having a moan 'this too shall pass'

Morning! Kindof, once again Fitzio puts it so nicely (you really do have a way with words, Fitzio...). Get some naps in the day - it honestly is the only thing that will keep you sane. Put OH on Baby Duty while you're napping, too, so that you can shut your eyes without needing to worry about E. And while E is still small, it's honestly just going to take some time to get him to sleep more reliably at night.
Happy Birthday Boogelly!! Happy Birthday Alice!! (if indeed it is today, which I believe you were hinting at, Susan).
