Nikkit- I agree that it sounds like the ex is just stirring it up. Also remember that it is totally normal to feel all over the place at the moment, but if you think it's more than that have a chat to your HV...it's what they are there for.
Tara- thanks, you've just made me feel tons better about my quiet evening with just a 15 week old
. Not sure I am looking forward to the sleepover phase.
SJ- don't worry if you don't feel like eating. Just make sure you drink plenty and your supply should be fine.
Becles- hugs for you and DS. I agree that it sounds like it has all been blown out of proportion. Grrr at the head mistress and the other mum.
I'm not really hungry after Pizza Hut for lunch, but I know if I don't have tea I will be starving at 5 when Henry wakes for a feed.
I'm volunteering at an NCT sale tomorrow. I must be mad:p. I haven't done a proper days work for 5 months so this is going to be a shock to the system but I'm really looking forward to being a grown up for the day

)
I was sick loads at the beginning
J will not settle tonight! Typical when I have a bottle of wine and a film to watch tonight. Just gonna leave him cry for a bit - scrap that. I can't do it

Aless- are you around? When you made Weezl's Apple Curd did you peel the apples? I got a massive bag of Granny Smiths for 50p yesterday so I'm just about to make some.
Good luck Kindof! All I will say to you is that I now get way more sleep than I did in the last months of my pregnancy, plus I have a gorgeous baby to cuddle! It is so, so worth it!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Haven't finished catching up yet...
I can understand that what you have experienced/observed is going to be a big influence on how you view things. But just because some people mess up or distort something doesn't mean that thing is always messed up, twisted and distorted. When I was in my late teens I always said I would never get married because I didn't want what my parents had but what I have now is completely different to what I observed in my parents. It is hard to unlearn what you have already learned though.searching_me wrote: »susan on my married thing with what ive seen from my age group and the people id seen i hadnt seen married work properly (part from my aunt and gradparent) til i met you lot x
Were they completely outdoors dogs? A family I stayed with in MS had an outdoor dog and they just used to put food outside for him. In a whole week I think I only saw him once.Susan, interesting theory...we had dogs my whole life growing up (don't have one now - central London, PAH!), but actually rarely leash-walked them as we always had yards/gardens to roam in. Shall we play psychology this morning? :rotfl:
I don't think the bit about breastfeeding in the profile works as mine unchecked breastfeeding multiple times when I had ticked it and when I e-mailed them about it they just ignored me.I'm PEEVED. 1) because obviously they don't read profiles where it says I'm BFing. 2) b/c the last thing I got was a lame-o book, so was hoping for something awesomely useful. 3) because...errrr, I dunno, it's likely totally unsafe like Sami said?!
It's the ones at the "bottom" that I'm bothered about. I've seen how much it affects a lot of them in terms of confidence and their view of themselves. (And then they make sports day non-competitive to avoid having winners and losers which for some children takes away their one chance to be the best at something and makes it seem like that ability has little value.)Susan, my school had class rankings based on exam results and we always knew who was where. I was always 9 or 10 out of 27 and didn't mind because my abysmal mathematical skills were wrenched from the bottom end of the class by languages.
Does sudocrem have a numbing effect? (And would it not contaminate the milk?) I don't think your body has learned not to have a supply - Sami didn't BF Christopher but has managed okay with Edgar. (And like Feelie said, it wasn't fruitless with Fergus.)I shall try once again to see if there's a way I can get a little of my milk into Kester, even though I feel it may be as fruitless as with Ferg.
To that end I have a couiple of questions. I bought those breast shells, to see if I could build up a tolerance to wearing them in my bra over the next couple of weeks. My thinking was that this might mean I could harvest a bit of milk leakage for Kester more effectively than squeezing out the cotton breast pads.
So I'm thinking of aiming for an hour a day at the moment, and was thinking I'd take 2 paracetamol 20 mins before and also put sudo on my skin for a bit of numbing. How does that sound?
Also, a bit of a fear which you might be able to dispell. When PG with Fergie, I went up from my normal 32D bra size to a 38D, and by day 3 post partum even those were very tight. I am now 37 weeks PG and my bra size is still my pre pregnancy 32D size.
So I'm kinda wondering if my body has somehow learnt not to have a supply because I didn't use it last time. Does that make sense or is it very bad science?!
Do you want us all to bombard them with letters and e-mails for you? (Alternatively SugarSpun's suggestions might be more helpful and definitely worth a try - I totally agree about bringing up the fact your ex came back and took a drug overdose in your house.)The council have put me in Band 4 for a move
The housing officer told me that Band 4 is for people who "fancy a change of scenery"
So they've totally ignored my plight as a single, vulnerable new mother who is sandwiched between one big chav family who are noisy and making malicious complaints about me. And the fact my Health Visitor wrote them a letter stating this situation is causing depression.
I've never weighed out stuff for Alice - I just feed her what I consider to be a healthy/balanced diet and let her eat as much as she wants. I can see that there might be good reasons why people might but there's no reason why everyone should be.searching_me wrote: »is it really bad the only thing ive ever weighed out for zoe or jayden is there formula .. never bothered after that
