Cheap 0800 to mobile redirect?

I currently have an 0800 number which redirects through to my mobile. They unfortunately cannot provide the 1000 free minutes per month they've given me for the last 13 months, so I'm now going to be charged 14p + VAT per incoming minute UNLESS I get the 0800 directed to a landline, then it will be free.

I am never near a landline phone being a callout engineer, so either way, I have to receive calls to my mobile.

Is there any way around this, even if I have to buy a new mobile?

Can I buy a mobile with a landline number and trick the system?

I can't change my 0800 number by the way, it's gone in Yellow Pages and Thomson for a year and I can't get rid of it until at least March 2011.

check out skype. they can give you a local number which i think you can link to a mobile. if not you could buy a 3 payg phone that has skype installed. they start at about 40 quid.
