I have just tried to delete some items in my inbox and had a message come up saying OE could not open the deleted items folder, due either to low memory or disc space, The disc seems to be fine, I have run the defrag analyses and it says the disc is fine........
Any ideas please..................

Try compacting the folders. File, Folder, Compact.

Do the following for Deleted Items. If you still have a problem.
Open OE, Click on Tools\Options\Maintenance\Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Double click the entry in the little box, which will look like this "C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USERNAME HERE\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\!!5110F62B-DDA5-4E0F-8B9F-7C2C957410DF}\Microsoft\Outlook Express" right click on the selected location then select 'Copy' then click the 'Cancel' button. Close down OE.
Goto Start\Run right click your mouse, select 'Paste' click 'Ok' and in the resulting box shall be your outlook express email store*. Find the 'Deleted Items.dbx' file, Right Click with your mouse, then drag that ghosted folder to your desktop, select from the context menu 'Move Here'. Rename it to 'xDeleted Items.dbx'.
*If you don't see the files at this point, then you shall need to enable 'Show All Files and Folders' for your particular operating system:

Reboot your computer. Then start OE again and your deleted items.dbx shall be recreated.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
or do start > search > *.dbx and then delete the deleted items.dbx file. Make sure you go to the advance options in search and allow it to search hidden files and folders.0
