end of t mobile contract - what deals do they give

Hi all

i am in the last month of my t mobile contract - I pay £35 per month I don't want a new phone what kind of deal have people got out of them

ideally i want the same tariff no new contract tie in and a reduction in monthly bill to about £15 per month - i am on a flex 35 with free internet tariff at the minute - whats the lowest anyone has got - don't want to ask for £15 if they have given less to others :)

advice would be appreciated

    Hello

I think it may depend on how long you have been with T-mobile and how much you spend per month.

I have been with them for years and had 2 phones one which had 350 minutes and 200 texts - i was paying £15 pound per month for it I have nowupgraded to an Iphone and wanted to terminate that line they offered it to me for £5 with free landline calls too!!! I didnt keep it only because my Iphone deal was a lot better with the flexible boosters too.

You could try and say you want to leave and see what they say?

You might be able to get a better tarriff with them as they have something called flexible boosters as well - I think they introduced them since February.. you can get free unlimited landline calls, unlimited t-mobile etc etc and can change from month to month.

    Hope this helps

Rubbish ones, in my opinion. Had to dump them last week as the deals offered were the same as on the website for new customers, there's much better value out there if you shop around, virgin is way better as far as the tariffs are concerned. If you threaten to leave and ask for a PAC code they may be more amenable to a better offer but not in my case, they only phoned me back today (the day my number gets transferred to my new network) to ask what they could offer to make me stay. Unfortunately it was too late as I already have my shiny new phone! If you are prepared to phone them several times and request a pac code, but not use it until absolutely necessary, then you may be able to get a decent deal out of them, it all depends how persistent you are prepared to be. Good luck! As you don't want a new phone you may be in a better bargaining position than I was, there is another thread on this forum, I think it is 't-mobile retentions' and people on there have been quoting the deals they have been offered, have a look, hope this helps.

Since the new tariffs came out it seems as though not many deals are being offered but on the specific phones I have wanted they seem to offer the best value anyway.
  • Why not join a network that doesn't keep on changing its terms and conditions during the contract period? And one that doesn't charge for voicemail? And one that hasn't shifted its call centres to Manila? And one that isn't about to merge with Orange?

If you must stay with T-mobile, you'll be better off getting a PAYG SIM from another network, transferring your number onto it, and then taking a new T-mobile contract with one of the internet discounters which offer guaranteed cashback. That is what I did and it was about £150 cheaper than T-mobile direct.

However, I left when they put up the price of 08 numbers during my contract and went to Vodafone. With Quidco cashback on a SIM-only PAYG 12-month contract, I pay £15 per month for:
    - 1200 any network minutes
    - unlimited landlines (3000 minutes fair use)
    - unlimited texts (3000 fair use)
    - unlimited internet (500MB fair use which is fine for a phone)
    - free voicemail

I bet you don't get anything like that for your £35 per month to T-mobile... and I find the coverage is much better.
