Morning diary, just popping in for my daily catchup!

Just checked the bank account and still well in credit woohoo!!

Today will be a very SSD, not planning on spending anything through the day with the kids. Have swimming tonight which is cheap and budgeted for.
There is a fun day on at school today, it wasnt that good last week so I dont know whether to save myself the stress! There will be money to be spent there aswell! Might just take a picnic along to the park thats nice and free :rotfl:!!

Went to aerobics last night and as I was doing it I was thinking about money  but I was thinking about how things have changed. Before I would have been thinking where is this money coming from and where am I going to have to cut back to do it. Now I have a budget for all these things and dont need to worry. Made me feel so much better about myself.

Washing machine is on at the mo and then il strip the kids beds and get them all hung out.
DH has given me strict instructions not to do any housework (was only going to hoover the living room anyway!) because he will do it tonight or he will be bored whilst im at swimming.. Who am I to argue :D I would never choose housework over going out anyway :rotfl:!!!

Ive got some chicken out the freezer so think il do goujons, wedges and salad for tea.

Right think thats it from me! Catch up soon xx

Haha Pennywise! He likes to keep busy and for the past few years hes been doing a degree so hasnt had time to help out etc. I think my constant moaning about how busy I am, working etc has spurred him into action!! He moans that he gets no time to chill out but within 5 mins of sitting down hes itching to get up and do something. I still do the ironing, washing, bathrooms, cooking etc but he likes to keep up with the hoover and polishing!!

    xx

Haha yes, your DH is well trained! Yesterday I had a delivery from Mr S (part of "the plan") and Mr Gap was here. He offered to help me with the delivery but I said no as I know where I like things and he would have just been in the way. However, when I was almost finished putting it all away he said "a wee cup of tea would be nice" I told him that he could have done that himself and he said he had offered to help and I had said no :mad::mad: He is great with some things but so thoughtless with others! At least I can laugh about it :rotfl:

It is good that your mindset is different now. It feels good that things are allowed for now doesn't it? :)

    Have a lovely day.

  • I think your OH needs to give out tips. Mine doesn't know what the vacuum cleaner is for. To be fair, he works very long hours in his job, and I only work part time but I do everything else, his main annoying habit is only do half a job. He starts lots of jobs and never finishes them, it drives me up the wall. We have a 3/4 finished bathroom and the tools to finish it have been in the spare bedroom ever since, we have a 3/4 finished porch which he built which is amazing considering he does a desk job, but it doesn't have a proper floor and hasn't had any of the beading done so it blows a gale through big gaps down the sides of the windows (but looks a damn sight better than the previous porch), and we have a 3/4 finished work to the conservatory rood (are you seeing a pattern), and 3/4 finished fencing down one side of the garden :D

There again, he is good to me wanting to be the equivalent of Dr Doolittle and even though he protests, I can bend him round most of the time :D

    Hi Mummytogirls

Sorry I haven't popped by for a few days, sounds like you've had a good week with your LOs

Your DH sounds so different to mine. He would never tell me to leave the hoovering and dusting, he'd do it if I asked him but that defeats the object.
The other week he told me he'd do the ironing but it was still there at the end of the week so I had double to do :mad:

Where do you get husbands from that don't like lounging around? :rotfl:

    Have a great weekend xxx

Evening diary, long time no type! Back to work tomorrow boooo!!! Had such a nice week off I really dont want to get back into the routine. Im sure il be fine once im back in the swing. Everything is ready for tomorrow just need to sort kids food out for tomorrow.

Have been away for a couple of days spending . Not too much though and ive managed to claw back in other areas to compensate. We had such a lovely trip to the seaside the other day, but we didnt spend that much money.

Gap, tutting at Mr Gap for asking for a cuppa the cheeky swine! Next time let him help with the shopping, that will teach him ;)!!

Itsa, bless Mr Itsa with his 3/4 finished jobs :rotfl:!! My DH is completely the opposite if you hadnt guessed!!

Choo, Haha to asking where you find husbands that dont lounge around. You know I think it all stems from how their mothers are! My DH's mum did sod all for him and I think thats why hes so proactive now. Apparently he was making his own tea from 9 .

Well ive just been catching up with the surveys, always get screened out from Toluna, drives me mad! Im nearly at 70000 points now so not far from a voucher.

Checked the bank account and still in the black woohoo :T. I think this is the first month weve got this far in without using the overdraft. Very pleased indeed and this should continue to get better month by month now.

Had a roast beef with all the trimmings tea, it was absolutely delish. Plus got loads of beef left for a pie later on in the week.

Right id best get off, check the other diaries and get the kids lunch and tea sorted for tomorrow.
    Catch up soon xx

Well done on NSD 1 :T Many more to come :)

The problem with Mr Gap is that he is so used to being waited on by former girlfriends that he just sits back and lets me do everything. However, I am not like his former girlfriends and I won't put up with that. I do a lot for him but he has to pull his weight. Also, he picks me up from work two days a week (the two days I finish early - he starts work at 4pm and I finish at 5pm on the other days) and he is loving and generous and really good to me so there is a lot of come and go with us. He has a good heart. His mother has OCD and he was brought up in that environment. We were laughing the other day about me not vaccuming the carpet and he said his mother used to vaccum them (he has 2 sisters and a brother). Swings and roundabouts. :D

That is great you are still in the black and not in the overdraft yet :T

The roast beef sounds lovely

I love spending time with Little Miss but I do miss the routine when we are on holiday. I am much better with routine.

    Have a good week!

  • Roast beef sounds yummy, we haven't had a roast for ages as I always think about the cost, if I could stop the OH eating so much meat it might last for a bit longer but he enjoys it that much he has more than necessary and so there is never enough left for another meal.

I haven't made the sandwiches for tomorrow, I will have to do it in the morning - I am simply not in the mood ;-)
    Just keep swimming!
