Afternoon diary,
OMG ive come back to sooooooooo much work and emails dont think I can cope!! Im just having a little break as ive been at it since 8.30am .
Checked bank account still in the black woohoo! Not for long though as the council tax is due to go out as is the credit card payment I made today. Still in the next 2 months we will be out of it :T.
GAP, you and Mr Gap sound like you have a nice relationship going on!! RE routine getting up was no problem this morning, lets just see how long that lasts then!
Itsa, I buy my meat from the local farmshop and its not too badly priced. The joint I bought for yesterday was about £5.50 for topside and it was big enough for all 4 of us (DH and the kids had 2nd's) and we had some left!
Do you guys like braising steak? I love it and its dead cheap aswell.
NSD so far but I need to spend on my swimming this evening so will be a SSD.
Right time for another cuppa and a final push to get through the rest of the afternoon! DH making a curry for tea, so I will have mine when I get back from swimming.

Hi Mummytogirls
Its always frustrating going back to work after holidays as no-one does your work and you wonder if its worth taking time off.
My DH mum used to do everything for him and his dad so I think he expects me to pick up where MIL left off, err no Mr Choo. He has responded well to training over the last 11 years but could do better :rotfl:
We have braising steak, but I fancy it up abit with leftover red wine, mushrooms etc and it becomes beef bourginon.
Catch up soon xx0 -
Morning diary, happy mummy this morning!! Still in the black due to child benefit going in :j. Thats going to change shortly though as I need to pay DD's playgroup fees (already budgetted for).
So other than the playgroup fees today will be NSD2.
Ive just updated my signature and im now over the 25% mark. Next month another one of my debts will be paid in full :T. Plus we should be out of the overdraft too, dependent how much the MOT costs, weve got £300 earmarked for this. Hope its not more!
Choo, I know what your saying about taking time and no work being done. I was busy before I left, now its even worse!!
Right think thats about it from me. Best get off and get dressed and sort the kids ready for school.

I came home from work yesterday saying the same thing that I had been really busy at work and the DH came out with some words of wisdom that I am going to give you, better to have lots of work rather than too little in the current climate
Well done on the 25% mark, such a big achievement paying off a quarter of your debt. To get to that stage seems so far away for meHow long has it taken you to do the 25%?
Just keep swimming!0 -
:j:j:j:j:j:j Yay to being over the 25% mark! Well done mummy!!
No one does my work when I'm off either. No one actually knows how to do my work or what I do (hence the reason I can spend so much time on here ) but yes, when I come back I have mountains of work to get through and I do wonder if it is worth it sometimes.
Mr G and I have a good relationship. We have had our not so great times too but we have worked through them and we are getting there. Times are good right now. We have only been together (unofficially) 3 years so he still needs a lot of work but I will get there even if it takes the rest of my life!
Have a good day xxMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76
300 271 payments to go.House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

Thanks everyone, it does feel like a major milestone .
Itsa, your DH has got a very good point actually, I promise il never moan again hehe :A!!
I had been chipping away the debt since beginning of last year, but when all came out to DH on 12/12/10 thats when we totted everything up and arrived at the £23k figure. So in 6 months we have paid off £5910.02, £1000 came from my Dad, £1300 came from the sale of DH's bike and the rest weve just been paying month by month. In another 6 months my loan will be nearly paid off which is £4k, so im hoping to be down to the £12k mark by Feb next year. Im doing full time work until November so im hoping that once we pay off our overdraft next month we can start throwing more at the debt. Keep positive and little targets of every 5% really feel so much more manageable.
GAP, you 2 sound sooo cute!!! Im sure you will get there in the end, me and DH have been together 11 years nearly and things arent perfect there either!!
Thanks Choo!
Well ive had a much more productive day at work, got through a mountain of emails so feeling better on that score.
Drew out £110 for DD's playgroup fees, scandolous! But it is the cheapest option for me funnily enough!
Payday is 2 weeks on Friday and it feels like its coming round really fast. Looking forward to that day, dreading the MOT 3 days before .
Rightyho think thats all from me. Off to catch up with some diaries xxMummytogirls x0 -
I have to say that I don't think anyones relationship is perfect, it's just about give and take, my OH can be an !!!! sometimes but in other ways he is a really good bloke. We have been together 10 years soon and have been married for nearly 8 years (so we are just getting over our itch year) and I haven't buried him under the patio yet :rotfl:
Its probably keeping him in his place but I often tell him that he couldn't run off with anybody else as nobody else would have himJust keep swimming!0 -
Hi Mummytogirls
I agree with Itsadoglife, no-ones relationship is perfect. My DH is a lovely person but he does wind me up sometimes, not over anything major but just little niggles and I wind him up sometimes with my quirky ways. Its just about give and take xx0 -
Morning All,
Well I think were all very similar, have good relationships with the odd whinge about our DH's :rotfl:!!
I have something to make you all smile.... DH's cleaning routine didnt last long, hes done no cleaning this week! So im back to my one job a morning, yesterday was hoovering and today was putting away the clean washing and sorting the next load.
Just checked the bank account and were in the red boooo! But it will only be for 17 days, so less charges that any other month :T.
I forgot to say im in credit with my gas and electric too for like the first time since I can remember! Which means instead of the payment going in to clear our debit balance, we will now be using up the credit if you know what I mean!
Feeling good again today as I can see the future now whereas before it was getting through the month to payday.
Need to up my game with surveys but just seem to be getting time to do them at the mo. Im at just under 70000 points with Toluna but it seems like ages to get to their payout.
Last night I made the pie out of the left over beef and it was delicious! Tonights tea is cajun chicken pittas so have taken the chicken out to defrost. Then its swimming for me all budgetted for!
Will be a SSD as I need to get some bin bags as we have none so currently have a Tesco bag in the bin for rubbish :rotfl:!
Think thats about all from me. Catch up soon xxxMummytogirls x0
