My mum forgets mine, and my birthday gets lost too as its the day before school starts more often then not, or the say school starts. OH is away as well and hasn't left me any presents so it's not going to be particularly exciting for me next Tueaday! So I feel your pain!

I don't know how a mum could forget her child's birthday, unless she has lots of children or is elderly and forgetful. However, I have been known to forget how old mine are as the years go by so fast :) My mum used to often call me by several different names before she got to mine although I was an only child. She would start with her sister's name, then my cousin's ....

We don't celebrate my birthday :o Haven't done since I was quite young. I hate it and happy to let the day pass as any other day :rotfl:

Glad you had a lovely day :D X

    Afternoon Diary,

Well what was a miserable rainy morning has now brightened into a lovely sunny afternoon. One load went into the TD this morning as it was showing rain all day and I now have another load hung out.
Went to soft play with a friend this morning and spent £23 on entry plus lunch. We called at Mr Al's for the shopping and spent £64.01. I didn't think this was bad and I've bought some of their chicken to try (I usually go to the farmshop so will see). Have a fridge full of lots of fresh things ready to get back to it properly next week :D.

Thank you MissyMoo, I will endeavour to get on and remember your birthday next week. Boooo to it being my first day properly back at work :(

SA, I am one of 5 so I assume its because of that. I just think we have different priorities and birthdays isn't one of hers!!!

HI, what you like, it is just like any other day the older you get though isn't it!!

So need to get on with the tea shortly and then collect DD2 from dancing, quickly feed her and then get both kids to the hairdressers for 6.30 for their hair cutting. Its only at the bottom of the hill so we will walk down. Will have been a pretty expensive day by the end of it!

    Food:
    Breakfast - weetabix
Lunch - Cheese and red onion panini and salad
Tea - BBQ chicken, roast potatoes, carrots and peas

    Hope all ok xx

Forgot to mention that its DH's payday today so the account looks amazing!!

Since its September tomorrow I am going to set myself a NSD goal of 10. Since I will be back at work this shouldn't be a problem but will keep on track in here.

    xx

Hey my dear, sounds like you've had a busy day, well done on getting the washing done, I've got the sheets to do tomorrow. I'm waiting for school to start so I can get back into a routine, as much as I hate the school run palava everyday! Have enjoyed being able to stay in my pyjamas! X
  • Afternoon Diary,

Wow what a weekend, please can I go back and do it all again :D.

DH surprised me on Friday to a weekend away for our anniversary. Had such a fab time, felt so relaxed and then had to come home :rotfl:. Yesterday we went to a local festival which we got free entry to.

Saturday was NSD. Spent about £40 yesterday on food and drink at the festival. Today has been £2.85 on one last treat of a sandwich from the bakery near work.

So the girls are back at school today, they looked so smart this morning.. wonder how long it will take until they don't look as pristine . Ive been into work for 3 hours this morning and it was ok actually, can't complain.

Since being home I've cleaned the bathrooms, might hoover and polish before the girls come home too.

    Other jobs for this afternoon:
    - post 3bay parcel
    - make tomato soup for work
    - brown mince and onions for tomorrows bolognaise (will go in slow cooker tomorrow)

    Food today:
Breakfast - porridge with banana and nutella
Lunch - cheese salad sandwich and crisps
Tea - chicken kiev, roast potatoes and veg
Snack - fruit, yoghurt and oats will also have a smoothie later
    Gym - Body combat

Think thats all. Hope all ok xx

Hello M2G, hope all has been good over the last couple of weeks, I haven't had time to go back far, but it sounds like you have had a fab weekend which I am very envious of, what a lovely hubby.
I love it when my little ones are enthusiastic, get up early and look pristine for school, I have a feeling that this may only last until tomorrow lol!
