Afternoon diary, nothing much to report just popping in to say hi :A!!

Fizzy, I know what you mean but I only had £10 with me so couldnt overspend really!!!

Well yesterday I paid in some cheques we received from our old mobiles, we got £10.55 so better than just being sat there gathering dust!!

Received a letter from work to say weve got a 0.2% payrise or £50 which ever is greater. Doesnt equate to much but better than nothing I suppose.
Applied for 2 jobs, one has just closed, the other doesnt close for a couple of weeks so still none the wiser on that front.
I really hope everything falls into place soon!!

Got £25 to last for shopping this week so going to go and get what I can with that tonight. Need nappies and wipes, but going to go for a cheaper version as I really need to get the most out of this money.

Anyway, will catch up soon x x

  • Morning diary! Just a quickie as im on a house cleaning mission before I pick DD up from school!

Just done the meter readings, £22 used in a week so not too bad at all. Its so warm in this house, so if the weather carries on like this we can knock the heating down from 2 hours on an evening to 1. You watch it will be snowing by the weekend now ive said that!!! I think this is the first year we havent been in dr with the gas and electric! We might be about £20dr by the time the next payment goes in but not bad at all considering how cold it has been.

Still not having a NSD DH needs petrol today. Have only had 2 NSD this month, but since im on the bus nearly every day it cant be helped really.

Amazon delivered 2 pressies this morning that I ordered from kids parties coming up out of my vouchers.

Think thats all from me! Off to complete my cleaning.

Ps. does anyone know anything about daffodils? Ive planted my bulbs from last year again this morning, hope ive not done it too early. Theyve been in the garage drying out and already have little shoots appearing on them!!

Right best go, catch up soon x x

    Hi Mummytogirls

I am getting round to catching up on diaries :D

Fingers crossed for a Morrisons voucher I hope you did a good sob story.

Hope you got a nice chill out afternoon and that you're feeling better.

I will have to check out the website that you mentioned when I've run out of toiletries I think I could set up Boots or Superdrug.

    Take care xx

    Morning diary,

Up early so thought id tot up my weekly spends and what not. A bit dissappointed today is only NSD3 of the month. With me getting the bus though I just cant seem to avoid it.

Had a very expensive month. Both DD's birthday and then picked up the car tax yesterday. Hopefully February will be 'cheaper'!
I am pleased to report that ive managed to get my shopping down to £215, last February I was spending £467!! Very very pleased with that. Need to work on the petrol now .

Im very pleased Jan is almost over and weve survived it!! After DH found out we always knew it was going to be the toughest month, so im very pleased we are still here and speaking :T!! Things can only get better from here on in. Well got to find a job first!!

Anything think thats all from me! Catch up soon x

    Hi Mummytogirls

Sounds like you've had a good productive week, I like those.

Glad you've built an entertainment budget in it really makes a difference. We've got £50 for the month, I'm hoping that we can change some of our clubcard vouchers into restaraunt vouchers, get the bus into town have a few drinks, restaraunt meal and catch the last bus home. It should make for a cheap night out!

Just a quick thought on your NSDs I wouldn't personally class bus fare as a spend day as its something that you have to spend getting to work. I always class a day as a spend day if I bought a sandwich, crisps, coffee etc that weren't budgetted for.

Fantastic news about the interview will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Time to do the ironing now just for a change xx
