Hi Fizzypops, had a nice time at mums but had to leave early as DD2 was really whingey cos she was tired.
Re the washing powder I usually buy a well known brand but this time ive bought this easy stuff from Home Bargains for 95p!!! What a bargain, ive never seen washing powder so cheap. Will let you know how I get on with it, hope it doesnt give me a rash!!
Well tonight I feel completely !!!!!!. Had my first heated discussion with DH where I had "well it wasnt me who got us into this situation" thrown into my face. If only id been doing it for myself to buy a wardrobe full of designer clothes and exotic holidays. No I was trying to keep a roof over our heads and keep food on the table !!!!!!. Im so cross and hes really upset me.
It all came about because I really feel that I need a treat, im going stir crazy sat in this house and I think the poor kids are too. I feel so god damn miserable. But hes like no, until this overdraft is paid off no treats and its making my life !!!!. All im asking if for like £10 every other week or something to take the kids to soft play or bowling.
Heyho never mind, rant over.
Took the kids for a walk before lunch, they took their scooters and I think they enjoyed getting out. It was so cold though.

Men can be a royal pain in the 'beep' sometimes. My OH is always saying about how he keeps a roof over my head as he pays all the bills and mortgage yet I pay for all the kids clothes, toys for birthdays and Xmas, 99.% of their food, their school shoes which I buy from Clarks as they last longer plus anything else that they need so I spend a lot as well. Luckily we have separate bank accounts so he deals with his side of things and I have my money for the things me and the kids need.
Don't see myself being with him for too much longer to be honest I'm starting to hate him for making me feel like a lodger in my own house, OK I don't pay the main household bills but I pay for a hell of a lot and having 3 kids it's expensive. They wouldn't have anything for Christmas or birthdays if it wasn't for me, he thinks I buy them too much but he is one of 7 and never had anything when he was growing up as his parents couldn't afford it.
Re the money for treats could you save say 50ps or 20ps when you get them in change and then use those when you want to treat the kids to soft play etc. I am currently saving £2 coins, 50p's and 20p's in a pig and then I bag them up when I get enough to make up say £5 or £10 and am using those to pay extra off my debts. Have about £100 so far and it's all from change I've been given when shopping or sending Ebay parcels.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Hi TMD, sorry to hear things arent too good between you and OH.
Thats a good idea re saving up the 50p's or something. Ive been currently putting bits of change into my sealed pot but I suppose I could put under 5p's into my sealed pot and put the others somewhere else.
The thing is aswell though ive not really got access to any money at the mo, so it would take me forever to save up £10. Ive said once the overdraft is sorted which should be end March I want some spending money for me.
Ive gone long enough without now and if I have to go on another 3 years like this, im going to be the most miserable person ever!
Actually looking forward to work on Tuesday to get out, how blimming sad does that sound! Mind you Tuesday will probably be the day I find out if ive got a job come April . Thats my spending money out the window then isnt itMummytogirls x0 -
Hope everything works out OK with the job, will keep everything crossed that your job is safe.
Sometimes I wish I could go and find a job but OH works shift work and two weekends a month so am unable to, I am Self Employed and sell on Ebay which is how I earn my money.
Suppose it must be harder to save if you have a joint account, we have never had a joint account OH likes to keep his money separate (think he thinks I would spend it all), he is very secretive about money and always hides his bank statements. He even bought 2 pieces of land in Bulgaria for a few thousand pound each and didn't tell me about it I found out about one by looking at what he'd bought on Ebay, was pretty annoyed at him spending money on things like that and keeping it secret.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Weve got meetings next week so il know more then. Il be very lucky if I do manage to keep my job tbh, weve had hundreds of thousands in funding cut to big fat 0! There is some funding so there will be few and far jobs, will try my hardest to get the job I apply for though. If not it will be redundancy, but even so id rather keep my job even if its only for another year or so.
OMG to DH buying land in Bulgaria the cheeky swine  id be fuming too!!!
What things do you sell on ebay? xMummytogirls x0 -
Oh mummy sounds like you need a treat!! You cant live without the odd little thing to keep you from going mad. Hope you get the odd treat now and again.
TMD I would be mad with DH aswell for buying the land!!!GC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. No6 Due Mar 2013 My world.:j0 -
 to your oh!!
it really annoys me when people accept something then throw it back in your face when it suits them.
i hope you have a better day tomorrow and your oh thinks about what he has said and says sorry to you. he must see how well you have done and that you do need some "me" time at the end of the day your only human and we only live once.
take care. xxxTotal debt- 2982.00 Now- £2890.000 -

Hi Mummy2girls
Sorry its taken me all day to get round to posting on your diary but as we both know I've being ironing all day:mad:
Don't OHs drive you mad with attitudes to money, mine certainly does. He has improved over the last few months but before that he was abit of loose cannon. He'd ask if we could afford something I would say no not really but he'd go and buy it anyway.
Have you got a Boots advantage card? I don't buy much from Boots but if I have a balance on my card I always buy myself a little treat be it a nail varnish, lipstick or even just a bar of chocolate.
I also save my 50ps up as well and usually use them over the school holidays to treat the kids to ice creams etc.
Hope you had a nice tea at your Mums apart from the LO whining, my DD drives me insane with her whining. Girls have got it down to a fine art!
Hope you have a better nights sleep xx0 -
Afternoon diary feeling a bit brighter today thank god
.
Mummy & Fizzy, thanks for all your support guys, I really do appreciate it on the down days!
Choogirl, I do have an advantage card and I have got some points on it actually. Youve just reminded me mil gave me a £20 gift card for Christmas for Boots as im desperate for some new makeup. Will wait til my next day of wanting to spend and go spend that. Luckily my mum bought me mascara for Christmas so thats an expense that doesnt have to come of my gift card!!
I know my girls have got whinging down to a fine art lol!!
Well weve just been out for a walk and fed the ducks. Took the dog with us which was nice as we all got out. Was freezing when we got back so a nice cuppa was in order.
DH asked if I wanted to go for lunch so I think he must be feeling a bit guilty after yesterday. That makes me cross though cos !!!!!! was yesterday all about if he offers for us to go today?? Anyway, wont be bringing that one up again.
Today is a NSD, first of the year!!!
Tried ringing EON re the switch over but they are shut so will try tomorrow evening when I get home from work.
Tea is already prepared for tonight, but will be preparing tomorrows quiche later and making them some pasta sauce for them to have at mil. Then just the general getting ready for work and school tomorrow.
Catch up soon x xMummytogirls x0
