  • Morning diary,

Wow another busy week and we are at Thursday already. Well we woke up to tonnes of snow this morning! Didnt even know it had been forecast. DH spent some time digging the car out before giving up and going on the bus! He will be getting the bus back aswell as theres no way I would attempt to get it out. Although it is really sunny now which is a bit bizarre its not that cold out. If by some miracle it should all go I might get the car off the street at least.

Anyway, DD is much better and went back to school yesterday. Its her Christmas lunch at school today and its also DD2's playgroup party and Santa is coming too! I dont think she will go up on her own though.

Choo and Gap it is very good having an understanding boss. I think it helps when they have little ones themselves!! Plus the way I see it im sure they would like me to do the work rather than not.

So this snow is really scuppering my plans! I had planned to go to Morrisons for my final receipt this evening... dont think that will happen now. Everything is wrapped and in the loft, all Christmas cards sent into school, work etc. Just cant believe its just over a week away.

Ive got 3 more days in the office and then ive finished until 3rd January, I have to say I am looking forward to some time off.

Well ive just put myself a jacket potato in the oven for lunch :T. Catch up soon xx

  • Afternoon diary!

Cant believe another Saturday is over, this time next week the kids will be super giddy :).

Well a miracle did happen the other day, the snow melted and I managed to get the car off the street :j.
So after school me and the kids went to Tesco to do the shopping and collect DH at the same time. Tesco is definately more expensive that Morrisons, I spent £20 more . I need to collect my last receipt from Morrisons next week.

Today has been a ssd, took DD to a party and bought a cuppa for £1.69 so a very ssd!!

I dont think we will leave the house tomorrow as weve had a busy schedule for weeks and weeks and I feel its taking its toll on us now!
DH is currently round at his nans painting her living room. I really hope she brings him home so I dont have to take the kids back out again.

Tomorrow weve got a chicken to roast for tea, looking forward to that already.

Anyway, just rambling now! Catch up soon xx

  • Good Morning diary,

Just popping in for a quick catch up! Well DH is back round at his nans painting again. I hope he finishes soon, its driving me mad now. Today will be a spend day as hes also gone to the farmshop to pick up the dogs food. This will last him a good 6 weeks which is good.

DD was just telling me "Harry Potter and the physics" (I think she means order of the phoenix!) is on tonight on ITV1, apparently Grandad was telling her!! It isnt I think it was last night. But as I was looking through I saw that Jack Frost and Charlie and Chocolate Factory are on this afternoon so I think we will sit down and watch those this afternoon.

Ive got a few jobs that I want to do today. Il list them here to keep me on track!!

    • Tidy all the paperwork from the top of the microwave
    • Sort out the kids artwork thats come home from school and put in the correct boxes!
    • File any paperwork hanging about in the spare room.
    • Hoover and polish throughout.
    • Quick go over of the bathrooms as il do these properly next Fri/Sat anyway.

Roast chicken and trimmings for tea and no work until Wednesday for me :D.

    Hope everyones ok xx

  • Evening diary, had a lovely chilled out day but got all my jobs done too.

The roast chicken was absolutely delicious and then we had chocolate sponge (from the freezer) and custard.
Weve also all had baths and showers and chilled out for the night.

Ive seen theres something on ITV called Just Henry at 7pm, think il watch that.
DD1 is just playing on Mario Kart and DD2 is just mouching around!!

Dont think ive anything else to report. This time next week it will all be over!! xx

  • I can't believe it is nearly here :j Little Itsa will probably be uncontrollable by the end of the week :o

I am working till Thursday and then same as you am not back in until 3rd Jan. I can't wait for a rest, I feel like I haven't had a break from work in ages - I was trying to think when the last time was and I think it must have been summer, and then I had two days off when I brought pup home (but that was not a break! lol!)

Chocolate sponge and custard sounds yummy - I really try to diet to lose a few pounds, but I just love food so much :p
    Just keep swimming!
  • Morning Diary,

Just popping in for my daily catch up!!

Well today im planning on a NSD. The girls have got some friends coming round so ive said they can stay for lunch too. Then had a panic when DH told me there wasnt enough bread! He seems to have got through half a loaf between toast and sandwiches for work . Anyway, ive half a loaf, 3 tortilla wraps and 1 bread roll so I think I can throw something together with that lot. Ive loads of crisps and fruit in too so they will be well fed.

Hi Itsa, im soooo looking forward to the break too, just hope the kids dont drive us mad!! Although my mum has offered to have the kids over night on the 28th so that will be a break then.

Payday Thursday cant wait!! Just want to get the food bought in, car filled with petrol and then il be happy!! Not sure when DH gets paid, but we dont touch that account often so doesnt matter anyway.

Righty ho best think about getting dressed and making a tea party for the kids!!

    Catch up soon xx

  • Hi mtg, sounds as though you had a lovely chilled day, we watched Jack Frost and i slept through charlie and the chocolate factory (hangover), i recorded Just Henry, will watch later today, i'm hoping it will be as good as Goodnight mister Tom as it was written by the same person.

Could you throw some pizza dough together for lunch time and maybe make cheese and tom pizza instead of sandwiches, or get the kids to make the pizza dough.

Hope you have a fab day.
  • OMG just done the meter readings . I think I previously mentioned DH was keen to stop using the radiators as the windows were getting steamed up/condensed.

Well for 10 days last time I did them £36.
For 14 days this time £66.91 . This equates to £47 for 10 days so £11 more.

I really hope DH will see this from my point of view as for the 6 months when we cant peg out this is approx. £250 per year.

I knew it would be more but not this much. Anyway ive just emailed DH and hes just rung me and agreed we will stop using the dryer again. Meanwhile I knew this would happen and we are now £30 down argh, im proper mad. We are will £106 in credit but that will be eaten up before the next payment goes in, so we might have around £30 credit going forward. Bloody men why dont they just !!!!!!!g listen?????

Hi Pennywise, thanks for the suggestion but I dont think ive got the pizza ingredients! Plus ive got the wraps and everything out now!!
Hope you have a lovely day too xx

  • Evening diary,

Just popping in for a quick catch up before I go get into my PJ's. Not feeling 100% tonight, so going to chill out soon with a cuppa.

Tonights tea was hm fish and chicken goujons, hm chips (done in the over) and peas. DH was very impressed ive never done the fish ones before. Also got enough chicken ones leftover to freeze for another meal.

DH is currently playing on Mario Kart so ive kindly written his works Christmas cards for him and also a few more ive forgotten about.
So the plan of action for tomorrow is:

    • Walk down to the post office and post the cards. Going to check on Royal Mail website in a mo to see if im in time for second class :money:.
    • Buy bread and milk on the way back.
    • Cook chicken kievs, roast potatoes and veg for tea.
    • Wash the grey/blues and hang round the radiators (with the vents open at DH's request!)!!

Then chill out for the rest of the day as im back at work on Wednesday for 2 days.

Ive also written my Morrisons shopping list as its getting more expensive by the day as I remember more and more that I have forgotten about. Hoping not to spend more than £70, have the turkey already in the freezer from the farmshop.

Right think thats about all from me! Catch up soon xx
