You are what is described as a 'vulnerable person'. Consumer Focus are specifically tasked to help such persons and if you haven't been in touch with them then you must. If the circumstances you describe are correct then there are several points that need to be cleared up and C.F. will have experienced advisors to help you.

Do not get your hopes up it may be you will be liable for the full amount. However it needs to be investigated properly and I think C.F. is one of your best options at the moment. In addition they may be able to give you other advice re budgeting, saving energy etc.

    Vulnerable person

Astute enough to reclaim bank chargers though looking at there signature, and Tesco miss prices

Perhaps OP is looking at trying to worm there way out of this one too, they admit they didnt even make any provision to save for energy use, do they think energy grows on trees?

I haven't had a bill sent in 3 years , even though they have been reading my meter regularly , and I have , some will say stupidly, and some will say intelligently kept quiet .

I don't think anyone would say intelligently. You must have known you were using electricity, as you're warm, can eat, have hot water and can see at night. You should have at the very least been putting money aside as it was a 100% certainty that they would eventually bill you.

    Or looking for loopholes

    http://www.cashloopholes.co.uk/search.php?searchid=485018

Hi everyone I goggled tesco loophole and found this website and it looks like the place for me so I joined , I used to exploit this loophole every day a few years ago there was a website wear people would post tesco miss prices . you would be surprised how many mistakes tesco make, defenotly check your receipts, but sadly those days of a full refund and keep the product have gone, now its just double the difference

This person is quite astute its the same funkyduck as they on east coast

    Hey Funkaduck

This happened to me last year with my gas. They insisted I had received the 4 years bills but they were stuck in their internal posting office. I'm sure after getting nowhere with my supplier I contacted ofgem who said they could only charge me for, I think, 1 year possibly 2, no more. And you have the choice to pay in installments.:j
