I've had my phone number 2 years or so now... probably after about 6 months i kept getting phone calls from debt collectors for someone called "holly" i'd told them it wasnt her phone and to take me off their database but either she owes SO much money or they didn't listen they didnt stop... left messages and everything...
within the last 6 months its getting to the point where its now everyday! different debt collectors, credit companies, personal injury claims etc...
in this time a lot of people have been very helpful and taken me off but when they stop ANOTHER company calls!
in this time i've found out she is called holly clarke lives in london and has a blue peogeut i think it was ON FINANCE... she also has MULTIPLE LOANS, CREDIT CARDS etc.
if anyone knows how i can rid my life of holly... or if by chance you KNOW holly - which would be the best option for me because my head is throughly done in listening to her life and all the things she's spent money she doesnt have on! thank you holly for giving out my number! shame you dont have my address really!
its getting to the point where im about ready to send messages to EVERY holly clarke on facebook in london and tell them to give out their OWN number...

Do the companies have your name and address or just your phone number?
If all they have is your phone number and have no way of tracing you, become Holly Clarke.
Think of the fun you could have. Yes I will pay £100 a week for my car, yes I want you to take me to court, so sue me.
You get the idea?
Of course if they can trace you because you have given them your name and address, don't bother.

'Holly' may not have given out your phone number, it's quite likley your network recycled it. It usually takes 9 months for a number to be recycled. So it may well have been her's 2 yrs 9 months ago.
If this is the case I'd get onto your network and them to upgrade you to a phone with blacklist facility on it, if your current phone doesn't have this already.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

see i thought this at first when i got the first calls but in the past month i've had calls from a photography company with whom she booked and left her number in mid january?!0 -
I had a similar problem with DD's mobile, they would not have it that she didn't owe them money (she was 11 at the time!!)
In the end I called them and told them if they didn't remove her number I would report them.
In fairness, I had absolutely no idea who I would report them to but it did the trick hehe0 -

hah well one of the calls said they were gonna take her to court... they dont have my address or anything like my name just her name and my mobile number... im hoping some nice chappy on the phone will have her landline or something and i can get it off them? lmao0 -
I know some people who hated giving out their number so changed the last digit of their own by one, e.g. 589676 became 589677.
Perhaps this is what 'Holly' is doing to you? If so, then the problem's not going to go away quickly.
Ask your phone service provider to help. If they can't I'd have a rethink about changing your number. You need to ask yourself which is the more inconvenient. Getting a new number or getting these calls."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Or maybe Holly is a bit of a dunce who doesn't know her own number and keeps giving out yours - then wonders why her phone never rings!!
Seriously, hope you can sort this out - sounds like a right nightmare!0 -

getting a new number would be like... too much of an inconvenience to even imagine lol! have applied for so many jobs i wouldnt know where to start and theres other reasons but they sound a bit mad so i'll keep them to myself lol!!!
i think if it IS her old number she's giving it out instead of her new one... coz i've had blokes phone she's met on nights out and stuff who shout at me - yea its MY fault! if any of them were at all nice decent men they'd help me hunt her down and tattoo her phone number on her hand lmao0
