I tried selling books at a boot fair once, and the only ones that sold were either new or totally immaculate (fiction, and some travel guides), and I got very little even for those. It's worth a try, but don't reckon on recouping your pitch fee by just selling books unless you have loads of recent ones in good condition and are prepared to let them go for very little.

I might try greenmetropolis myself :).
  • what a fantastic book site.Thank you very much, but the husband may not be as impressed. lol

thought the book site was brill i've put some on to sell myself
  • It isn't exactly selling, but if you wanted to swap your used books for ones you haven't read, https://www.readitswapit.co.uk is a good site.

You only have to pay the postage. I've swapped loads of paperbacks that I've read and now have a lovely pile of about a dozen books to read.

you can also sell it on Amazon MarketPlace, it wont charge you until your book sold

https://www.amazon.co.uk, search the book you had, then click "sell yours here" on the right top.
    Spend smart, and save more.

Greenmetropolis makes a lot of sense, especially as the price is guaranteed! Thanks.

The price maybe guaranteed, but a sale is most certainly not!

    I guess it's still a great idea.

If you can tell me of somewhere where the sale IS guaranteed, I'd be very interested to know!

Depending on where you live, if you have a book barn near you that is a good place to sell them. They take some of the money and set the price but I did very well there selling books that were not really amazon material as like your they were 1p.
    Nice to save.
