Can someone help me find best deal for Alton Towers?

Options
I want to take my girlfriend to Alton Towers for 2 days (1 night). We are both students and the hotel is very expensive so I thought it would probably be better just to stay at another hotel in close proximity unless we can find a good deal on alton hotel.

I've seen a few deals on lastminute.com my budget is around £150.00 for the rooms and tickets... gonna be tough I know, any advice?

Travel Lodge or Premier Inn in uttoxter is about £50 per night, so you could easily do this.

These are approx 5 miles from Alton Towers.

Can you not find a 2 for 1 entry ticket ?

If you can get cheap tickets for Alton Towers (they are starting to crop up on e bay again) the log cabins at The Raddle Inn might be a nice place to stay - not too expensive per night and a bit different. (You will have to google as I am too new to post links. )
Last time I was there (just for a pint) the food and surroundings were good and if you fancy it you could book one of the cabins with a hot tub to make it a bit more special.
The food in the pub is (or certainly was) good value and they will do breakfast if you don't want to self cater at all. And the fuel is included so if you go early season you can still stay warm.
I know from the local papers that the proprietors are keen to build up the business so always worth asking 'Is that your best price?'

When do you want to go? If you can go anytime you could try and get the 2 free tickets from the sun, not sure if its too late to start collecing now. I haven't seem any 2 for 1 offers yet this year - think they usually start to appear around may.

I have stayed in the travelodge in uttoxeter before and while its very close I would never recommend it to anyone, the place is awful. There is a premier inn just along from the travelodge which is usually priced between £53 and £60 a night (have searched and failed to find a £29 room here). I have not stayed at the premier inn but have booked for later this year when we re going to alton towers.

is the sun deal not happening this year?
for the past few years i have used that you get 50% off of rooms?
its usually when the sun put the free tickets ( token collect ) in the paper but i cant seem to find it!
worth a look we also do the tesco deals and if you have a merlin pass you get money off everything you do there.
Thanks every1 for making this website what it is, its helped me alot in the past!

Sun deal is on at the mo, it's day 3/7 of the token collect.

However, I'd be looking at a cheap travelodge/campsite/B&B. For the tickets, there were two bogofs in the recent clubcard mailings, so ask friends & family if they have them- or buy one for pennies on Ebay.

That'll be your first day entry for (last years prices) $37 ish. (Blummin Americans coming over here, bringing their keyboards! :) ) And when you're there, buy your second day tickets, that will be around $9 each.

So thats under 60quid on park tickets, which leaves you a very healthy hotel budget.

    Simples!

hi yea the code for the 50% off room only stays is in the sun today you have to ring them up to book it and mention the sun offer!
we go every year like this and either buy our tickets on ebay or bogof vouchers etc, however this year i have been saving our tesco clubcard points uo and gna get a merlin pass! you then get 20% off all the gift shops and food etc so its saves us more when we go there!
we have ended up paying around 100 per night for the two of us going with brekkie! but if you do this remember you have to get tickets!
we got 3 nights 4 days but we are about 4 hours away from it so its worth us going for that long so we dnt have to rush about!
hope this helped a little and good luck!

oh n all the good dates go first so book early if you are using the sun code, sundays are cheaper to!
Thanks every1 for making this website what it is, its helped me alot in the past!

What number do you ring for the 50% off hotel stay and can you book it now? Is the code SUN like it was last year?

there are plenty of good B&B near alton towers. We always go to one called the Laurels, very nice and only about a 5 min drive to the towers.
