She was 4 in feb Elly. trouble is she gets so cross/ upset if you stroke her hair wrong or hug too tight etc. she is so loving but get it wrong and you really know about it. so much as I'd love to be on the sofa hugging her it seems to be too uncomfortable for her.
at least it means I can come on here to stay awake but it doesn't feel right not to be more actively looking after her. but I guess we are all different.
Paula just looked on your folksy love the write up and description.
Its such a good idea.

edit. we had chicken pox here last year. seems a bit coldy and sicky. we'll have to wait and see what comes of it.“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

Good morning all. Well I was intending to have a long waited for lie in this morning, but my cats and my neighbours had other ideas. So I've cleaned my porch out, sorted all the paperwork for filing and now I'm having a cuppa before tackling the dusting and hoovering.
I trained for and did a 10k run last year - the first time I've ever run intentionally in my life! It was awful at first but I suddenly got the bug and before I knew it I loved it. Anyway, winter put the brakes on it all and despite intending to go out a few times I haven't actually run this year. So today is the day. My BIL is coming with me later this morning and we are doing a 5k run round the local dam. Aarghhh! I have to keep reminding myself that I did actually enjoy it last year. But no idea why!

Good morning dribblers!
I woke up bright as a button at 7am this morning, no idea why as I love my bed! My kitties instantly demanded brekkie, so I gave in to them since it meant I would be up and maybe get a couple of hours of something productive in before heading for work. I'll probably be knackered by 7pm!!
Belated happy birthday Evenstarcrafty, I hope your day ended on a good note. My DD is soon to turn 14 and while she's a good lass, is showing signs of the terrible teens.... Boys are soooo much easier!!
I'll be on my ownsome at work today, so taking hook and yarn, all I have to hope for is very few customers to give me time to play! Shocking thing to say, since we're so quiet right now there's talk of a 3 day week ahead...
Jo, I hope your DD feels better soon, it's horrible when they're like that, you just want to hug and soothe, but I know some prefer just to be left alone!
Glad you finally slept Elly! I'm a bedbug, so thankfully rarely have that problem!
Paula, love your latest Sulkie :T
JoeyGrey, wow! Good for you, get out there and enjoy! I shan't be joining you, but I'll spare you a thought! :rotfl:
I had a call from Munchki last night, she's still in Nottingham after several incorrect car parts supplied by Toyota, but while we were on the phone her friend finally got it sorted out, so I think she's heading back home today. Complications re the job front, but I'll let Munchki explain that herself. She did ask me to reiterate her heartfelt thanks to all of you who have given her a helping hand, this week would have been a major disaster without you.

Morning all. What's everyone up to today? I am thinking of trying a new way to photograph my jewellery to make it more appealing.
Joeygrey have run with the run. I've just started training again for the race for life, and am enjoying it so far, but it hurts and I can only interval run at the mo.0 -
Toots- Thanks for the update on Munchki. hope you have a quiet day.
Wow Joey that sounds energetic - very impressed.
don't think DD needs doctor buy will keep an eye on her.
I saw a job advertised here last night but the closing date was yesterday - do you think it is worth emailing them as they were asking for part time and casual staff.
I would really like to get cafe working experience and it seems like a nice environment.
