Gone off my idea.that didn't take long did it??
Don't think it would be feasible without employing someone and there isn't enough money in it for that to work.
Also although I think it would be a great service its not really my passion or calling.
will keep it in mind though.
I really want to do something but don't really know what I can do.
I have some big ideas that have been with me a long time but I would need DH to be in a part time job and our finances to be a lot better before I could even think of starting those ideas.
So this 10k challenge is about improving our situation although will take a bit more than 10 k.
But in the meantime I really want something meaningful to do but just can't think of anything I can do or what skills I have that can be used in a moneymaking way and fit in with the life choices we have made.
    bleurgh.!!!

Big news for today is...... the venue problem is sorted and the move can go ahead. And the person at the venue who sorted it is my new best friend and I love her ROFL! And it has confirmed that it's the right thing to do - I wouldn't have been as gutted at it potentially falling through otherwise, so that has got rid of any niggling doubts.

Saucy, don't listen to trolls. I've had to develop a much thicker skin since I've been running my own business. You will never get everyone to like you or your product, just like you don't like everyone/everything. You just need to be able to let it go sometimes.

Good news 2cats!! So are you starting at the new venue after Easter? Did you sort the parking issues? Guess you did or you wouldn't be moving!!

And I second your comments to Saucy. Saucy whoever sent that hasn't got your talents and has nothing better to do with their time. Feel pity for them.

Haven't had a chance to catch up yet but thanks again everyone and guess what?

I won my appeal :-) will now get full amount of ESA.

And just to clarify my bankruptcy was discharged today. So always known as bankrupt but now I don't owe anyone :-)

    Fantastic news JMR!

Yes, after Easter holidays. So I'll be mega stressing then! My start of term nightmares will be shocking!!! And I have to work out how to alter about 2000 leaflets without it looking awful!

Parking is still a worry, but I did a walkabout in half term. There is a fair bit of street parking within a couple of minutes walk, a small public car park about 2.5 minutes walk away and a larger one about 4 minutes walk away. There are a few spaces right near the venue which I'm reserving for pregnant mums and those bringing more than one child, and hoping that people play ball with me on that one. It's not ideal, but I am hoping that the benefits will outweigh the problems, and it might even encourage a few of them to car share. There is a teeny car park (room for about 4 cars) which we'd take up with my van and the staff cars (3 staff) but maybe if the staff get some of the street spaces early in the morning that would leave the ones in the car park for customers. So I think it will work out .... just .... I hope!

Jo, what was your idea? Maybe we can help if we know what lines your thinking of?

Babymoo - thats just it that idea just wasn't really for me. but I was grabbing at it cos it was an idea I could see how it could work and I could see how I would use it if it was available.
BUT its not something i really want to do or could easily fit in with us at the moment.
It did make me realise that I do want an idea though.

jmrance, sooo pleased to hear your news, both on the EMA and the bankruptcy, I'm delighted for you! :j

Great news on the new venue 2cats, don't get too stressed, it'll all work out!

Jo, maybe you need to look at your idea from a different angle, you may well find that it's viable, just that you need to go at it by another route? Just a thought lol.

PAULA ~ I absolutely ADORE your Sulkie!!! :j:T:T:j You are soo talented and I firmly believe that these would sell like hot cakes! Great that you can customise them too, and mini sulkies!! Keyrings, car bobbles, you name it! Well done!

I've just been surprised by a night 'off' - DS has changed his standing Thursday night plans which means I don't have to do a taxi run, yay! So I'm going to do a quick swipe around the house before my gumtree chap drops off some clothes I've bought for onward selling, then I can get hooking. My crochet didn't quite work out how I expected yesterday, probably because I'm using a different size hook (note to self, get more smaller sized hooks!) but I'm persevering tonight now I've got time to play.

just wanted to drop by and see how everyone is doing. i have my idea now that i am firmly fixed on thanks to everyone at this forum got my creative juices flowing. I live in the south wales valleys and now looking to start a £ shop nearby. needing some ideas on how to write a business plan and such (also worrying as i have the worst credit rating as well so dont know if i can get a business account) any ideas and suggestions would be good.

I've done the company houses check on a previous £ shop that shutdown last year and their figures were going up and up last year was a 100% profit up from 3 years ago.

2cats I am sure if it is the improvement that you have convinced me that it is then no-one will have an issue. AND they are adjusting just as the nicer weather comes in so it won't seem as bad as it would have done when the snow was in abundance! Sounds fantastic, and once you have settled in I am sure you will wonder what all the stress was about :j

Jo - I am still happy if you want to pm me your idea to have a bounce around and think about it....are you sure there is now way you could do it on your own, or even with one of us...so it was all commsion based rather than employing someone. (Very hard to comment when I have no clue what I am talking about (soem would say that is normal!!)) I know what you mean about wanting something meaningful to do though.....

Dilli - got a problem, I can't open word files on this laptop so won't be able to read through until tomorrow when I can transfer your doc to the desktop, is that ok? unless you can cut and paste into an email for me? If so I will pm ou my addy!
