sheloveshim - yay for your OH, what a great way to show his support! How was the day, are you dying to go back?

Jo, will be keeping fingers crossed for you!

Ok, tried the whole multi quote thing but it didn't work again, so I've no doubt missed folks I wanted to mention for one reason or another.

Oh yeah, Mabel, I ain't crocheting no merkins! :rotfl:

Joey, can't help you re the blog I'm afraid but what a great idea. Well done you for encouraging your niece!

Well, I finally got around to relisting two of my vintage coats last night, I put them on Buy it Now or Best Offers this time. Got home tonight to an offer, only to discover that someone had used the BIN option already. Totally totally delighted, as I got the 3 vintage coats and dress for £30 and this coat has just sold for £80 including P&P!! Yay!!!

Should be hooking, just about finished another bit that I want your opinion on, so will try to get that done and post piccy. I haven't heard back about the cuddly lambie yet though, so that's kind of in limbo unfortunately.

    Hugs for those who need!

Before I met DH I used to go up to my corner shop to get a bar of chocolate for eating during soaps and I'd have to buy a finger of fudge or milky way or something to get me home from the shop without eating the main bar on the 2 minute walk home.
Now I don't have that problem - I send DH to the shop. but then he brings huge bars home.
Used to drink quite a lot on nights out but now, after being pregnant and long periods of breastfeeding the babies, I get drunk off 1 glass of wine and a hangover before bed. I have about the same units in a year as I used to in a night out.:rotfl:

Joey I would be tempted to make your own one for her - maybe as something for you and her to do together. You don't need to have contact details on and if you have it as another blog on your blogger account than you could have comments on moderation and check them for anything untoward before going through them with her. you could also have it where only people she invites can read it and invite them by email.
If she has it completely public then just check her posts to make sure she doesn't give name and address etc away.
would check with her parents too and think about if it would be okay or not for her to put photos on there that show her on.
I think personally that it is good to be sensible but not fearful but thats just my view.
Think the kids ones are very commercialised.

Thanks Jo. I sat and discussed it with her mum last night as I didn't want to panic her into thinking I was leading her daughter down dangerous roads. DN is into Moshi Monsters and has been getting upset that we are telling her she has to be careful as she is quite a sensible little girl and thinks we don't trust her. I was thinking that a blog might steer her towards something a bit more creative and a lot more safe.

We agreed that I would do it as a fun project with DN and that we would just have people she knew being able to read it. We definitely won't make it public. Then her mum can read it without it looking as if she is policing it.

DN is into Miley Cyrus at the moment, so I think that may be a big part of her blogging. Ooh, I hope she takes to it.
