Morning all. Congrats on the exam pass, dillidalli.

DD packed off to school minus a piece of music that she needs for a music competition today. She is so disorganised! Hoping that the person she is duetting with has her copy! DD is in 4 classes today, which is an improvement on last year. She was in 7 classes last year and by the end she could hardly stand, let alone play anything coherent on the violin, so she has put her foot down this year. DH is going in to watch a couple of the classes later, but I have to work :( I'll go tomorrow evening to watch her with the school orchestra though.

Main task for today is book MOT and service for the van.

I know what I meant to say yesterday, something Jo mentioned, feel like I should pass this on, OH found it on his forum the night before last, its about Moshi monsters thing.

Edit: link won't work unless you sign in, so copied and pasted below:

Please read this. given to me today

The public protection unit have been made aware of a website moshimonsters.com.

This site is targeted towards small children. Children are encouraged to sign up and to build their own "monster". In signing up they give their age, sex and location, which is displayed and available for all to view. No parental permission is needed.
Other users are able to adopt others as "friends" and chat to each other.
We have received communication form a colleague in Gwent Probation, i have cut and pasted her comments below..............

"On checking the website over the weekend for a friends child we became suspicious of a user who was contacting my friends young daughter(9) making comments such as "i'll always be here for you, please contact me- i'm lonely-Pleeease" Whilst this may be innocent my gut feeling was that this was not a child, due to the language being used, Quite innocently, whilst not disclosing her name or address the child shared with the other user what school she attended"

Having examined the site there is a facility to report problems, however anyone can sign up and pretend to be a child. most of the profiles of children viewed appear to be around the age of 9 years.

thisabove letter is from a Det. Sergeant of a sex offender unit.

I have blocked the site with my router so no computer in the house can access this site.

Also, forgot to say big well done to Dilli, our very own little smarty pants! (phrase I wanted to say got the !!!!)

I wasn't doing the very best that I could yesterday with my time management I was all over the shop and not as dilligent as I should have been so I am really going to have to knuckle down and work on my commitments and to do list.

Right I resolve to be sensible this morning after getting so many of you into trouble last night. :rotfl:

    Venture Candy
On the way to work this morning I saw a really big advertisement for a contest called venture candy. Venture candy is a metro intiative that is working with new business venutures. So if you are a brand new business or start up this could be for you. The competition is divided into 5 categories design & technology, food & drink, green, fashion & interiors, and health and beauty.

Metro readers decide the five winners and the prize is a really good one:
    • Nationwide advertising campaign in Metro worth £50,000
    • Hosted IT and communications solutions provided by Outsourcery
    • Free marketing and branding from The Scarlett Mark
    • Free membership to The hub and inspiring place to work and connect
    • Exclusive PA service from I need a PA Now
    • Exposure to the panel
Please remember that this is for brand new business - so even if you haven't had a client yet it is still worth going for!

Also I think I have posted this link but I will repost it again, it is a great resouce forum/website for home businesses called Enterpise nation - the great thing is that it is free!

I will be popping in! Hope that you have
