    am still hanging around
  • The men have just gone...they invited us to dinner tomorrow though, which was nice! Not sure if we will go...OH has a badmington match just before. But we've just put a wash on and so I've got an hour to tidy up now.

  • Aww, night :)
I'm debating whether I like Mabels cashbook enough.
The cat themed one is still drying, so I need to photograph that, and then go and get the washing out of the dryer which I've just put in.
Not tired at all yet...body feels all out of sync but not in much pain so I'm making the most of it!

got a lot to catch up on

re P.O boxes /Post Office giving people your address, do British Monomark (BM boxes/address) do the same? I was thinking of getting one for a fanzine I do (I'm not comfortable with putting my home address on the internet for orders/trades)

Amber - any news/developments on the shoe selling page? I've got an old pair of boots that I can't wear (feel unsteady in them & they pinch my toes) that are just sitting in the corner of the wardrobe gathering dust and spiders, plus another pair of smelly shoes that'll soon be unwearable.

started a new blog for personal dribble and covering selling/the challenge but it hasn't properly gone live yet.
I need to get busy blogging,I haven't really been in the mood for writing this last week and when I was I lost internet access for three days
I've been experimenting/trying out themes / templates, think the music one is looking good, messed it up trying to get it to show the right date on the posts and hard to start again but it's working now - just not showing the blogspot stripe/bar on the top of the screen. This won't cause any problems with blogger will it?

Had to do some tweaking of the code for the other one and edit the graphics to add my blog's name... haven't got it looking quite right yet.

I sold a book on priceminster the other week, just waiting to find out if it actually gets there and how much I'll actually receive from them (iirc they don't pay until after the person's either reported the item's arrived or it's been long enough without them claiming it hasn't) and sold a record on amazon to go all the way to France! yesterday.
That's a definite result cos it was a copy of The Decemberists album (forgotten the title already but it's the one with The Mariner's Revenge Song on it) that I found in a charity shop for £1 stuck in with all the ancient classical & soundtrack records , (they'd obviously taken one look at the Am dramm Mid summer night dream cast type cover photos and not realised what it was), played it once, realised most of the album wasn't as good as that song and they were actually overrated, stuck it up on amazon, renewed it a few times then forgot about it and it's now sold for £8.99!:j

I've got it all packed up, ready to take to the post office tomorrow (later today really eek), had a record mailer from records I've bought, worked out postage using the Royal Mail price finder (should go by small packets), and used some of the stamps I managed to get from Superdrugs 5% off offer
so haven't had to pay anything on p&p yet - just need to check the postage at the PO & get a certificate of posting.

Been busy taking photos so all ready to blog about it.

Thinking of starting a new twitter account for plugging items I'm selling (& what's just sold) - good idea?

NME Radio was s playing Gang Of Four now Radiohead  I'll be off to bed soon, promise.

  • Morning,

Elly- thats very nice of you! Wish there were some good bargains round here, all we get is car spares! Good luck with the viewing, the amount of people that have come to look, surely it will be snapped up soon!

Going to make a conserted effort to do some of my commitments today, kids should be having their first day in nersery today, but sods law, DD2 is poorly, so looks like that one is off the cards, good job my driving lessons don't start for 2 weeks! Just waiting for the provisional to come back, is it wrong to be so excited about posting a form? I couldn't stop grinning when I did!!

You lot made me chuckle reading back this morning! Who is writing the book? By the end of the year, there are certainly going to be a good number of oddball items in it!

Hoping your dress turns up today and that you got some sleep last night saucy!

Feel really guilty, found under a pile of washing last night the books I was supposed to send to Mambury, so am taking them with me to the PO today, sorry!

oh, and sold another 3 books yesterday, so they are going slowly!

Morning all! (and Hi Jenna, don't think we have met yet!!) **waves**

Good luck with the viewing today elly!!:j:j Spring is in the air and natural nesting instincts kick in so fingers crossed!!!!

MommyP - getting your provisional is REALLY exciting lol! :j:j

Yesterday I found my original starts at writing a book (not childrens) and it reads better than I remembered lol! (and gramatically better than that last sentence!) Been very slack lately with the writing - let life take over and used 'research' as an excuse not to actually write  so really need to start cracking on or it will be the Easter hols and I will not have acheived anything
