Happy mother's day
I seem to have nothing for mother's day...OH and I had an argument a while back over whether I could have some craft tools for mother's day, he wanted to get me an ornament or something I could keep like he used to get for his mum...I said as we have so little money to spend on treats i'd like something I really want...on Friday he phoned me from town saying should he get me a 'little something' like a teddy from the kids, I said yes if he liked, he didn't end up getting anything; yesterday while tidying up I found my (unwritten) mother's day card...last night when the kids had gone down he suddenly said oh no! I didn't get the kids to write your card! I said well you didn't have to say anything...I later said oK well shall I order my craft stuff then and he said no!! -what, because it's going to be a surprise??? Oh and I also said, well you could get the kids to write my card in the morning and he said 'but you always get up with the kids'! I'm sat here with the kids waiting for him to get up, to see whether or not we're going to the Sealife Centre...gahhh!
Have managed to drop a Sulkie and break its arm off, I need to get a job, I feel like I'm stuck in limbo today.I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0 -
Hugs paula - its a shame when our kids are little because our mothersday depends on our partners and not our children so try not to let him ruin it. look at your kids and drink in a picture of the best bit of mothers day - the gift of being a mum. and have some hugs from another mum (me) and maybe send a bit of love off to all the other mums who are having a similar time to you today.

Ok I'm back after catching up on 13 pages of yesterday's dribble.
Once I'd eliminated the chat about mexicans, fabregas, members, and other things I dare not mention, there were some terrific posts.
Dilli - thank you, some of your posts yesterday had a wealth of info.
Laura and Killielila - Welcome
Joey - thanks for reposting the links, it's good to go through them again.
Babymoo - excellent idea for a blog, look forward to reading it when it's ready.
Well, yesterday was spent sorting out the playroom, eventually got finished after 5 but at least now DD can find her toys.
Today being mother's day, I had to get up early, hard to do on my amitryptiline, get kids up to make cards. As OH is on a diet, we made her a basket of fruit and decorated it and got her some new slippers.
Off to my mother's then the MIL's today so no doubt I'll have another dozen pages to catch up with tonight.

Morning, sorry to do this today of all daysbut I need to vent!
Paula - Take the kids out and enjoy yourself, OH bought me 2 fish for Mothers Day, funnily the ones that he wanted and they are going to live in his fish tank, and said that he was too busy to get me a card nd flowers from the girls (but he had time to buy fish??) but as he said, it doesn't matter, the girls aren't old enough to understand!!!! I am feeling slightly better at the though that he also forgot his own mother til yesterday, not evough time to post anything AND she is the wicked witch of the west, so oh boy is he in for it when she gets hold of him!
Even - can't end the listing if it has less than 24hrs to run and there are bids on it, good luck.
Right, when OH was putting the fish in the tank last night, he cleaned the filter, I come down this morning to find the tank half empty and the floor water logged, we have a 350ltr tank, I need to get my vax ot to suck up some water, but it is in the cupboard under the stairs which is barracaded with boxes of books, there is easily over 100ltrs on the floor and its squelching, think it might be ruined, there goes the deposit for the house.
Oh, and OH is working today so I have a friend coming over at 12, I said I would take her out for the day as her OH works off shore and her mum died 2 days before Xmas, so I have to try and sort the house and be a shoulder to lean on and all I want to do is cry because DD2 was up 7 times last night crying because she is constipated and can't poo.
Can I cry now? Sorry!
ETA: and Oh smoked the last of the baccy this morning before he left, so I can't even have a cig, this day just gets better and betterturn £100 into £10000 in 2010 member #16 £567.68/£10,000 -I'm a wiggly worm, I'm a wiggly worm, how do you do, I love you, I'm wiggly worm!0 -
Oh MummyandPaige, that made me cry! Are all your books and your stock OK? And have you got any syrup of figs or can you get some for DD2? You must be knackered
shame you can't put your friend off and try to get some rest. And how selfish to smoke all the baccy! Wish I lived near you, could bring my vax round too
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.0
