Hi there, I ported my number from three to orange and it is due to be changed today. On my phone it says no access to network so I am guessing they are working on it now. My question is how long will i be out for? Unfortunately my home phone is also not working and wont be working till next week. Will it take an hour to change or is it more like 24hrs?

Ta for help in advance! :money:

if it says "no access to network", it means your number has been proted from 3. your Orange should be working, but usualy when i port my numbers, both my phones act weird for a few hours... sometimes i get phonecalls, sometimes i dont. should be done in 2-3 hours from my experience.

Are you going onto contract or pay as you go? You can port into 3 at any time during the contract, I don't know if this is the same for PAYG.

If you are going on contract just call 333 from the handset after you have bought it and give them your PAC, they will sort the port for you.

I rang T-Mobile 2 weeks ago to port my number across from Orange and they said it would be done last Monday, the 17th. Since then my old number has been uncontractable and T-Mobile completely useless. Have rung them about 5 times in the last week and noone seems to know what's gone wrong. First they told me to wait 72 hours, which took me to Friday. I then rang again and was told that it would be another 48 hours. I rang them again Yesterday (Sunday) and still no joy! Has anyone got some advice on what to do, as I've now been without my number for a week!!!!!!

What do Orange have to say about it? Sounds like Orange have done their bit but T-Mobile haven't. I was always led to believe that the donor network wouldn't disconnect service until the receiving network was up and running with the ported number.
