The easiest was todo this would be to bypass your works proxy and specify a public one. Don't think your IT Security department would like it though.
This site seems to list them, Just point to one of these in your proxy settings in explorer etc.

If the blocking is any good, they will also block the ways of bypassing the blocking .. not worth losing your job over.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

Everyone seems to be thinking of Webmail. Have you thought of trying to set up a new e-mail account in Outlook/Lotus/Thunderbird/Whatever_Email_Program to access your normal home e-mail?
I had a similar problem with web mail at my last company but Outlook Express got through to my e-mail OK.
Webmail may not work because of the firewall rules your company is using (ports, etc) whereas standalone e-mail programs might.
Worth a try if nothing else. Worst case scenario is it will not connect.0 -

I don't think it's the scripts that are being blocked - it's all forms of webmail
My work has blocked everything but I have found a loophole use Orange email (I had to get a payg simcard for £1 to register). Works for me"Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T. Washington

Hi,
I look after IT at the company I work for. I dont block websites, but it can be easy to do. I am very easy going, as long as no one takes the micky.
If someone broke rules that I have inplace to protect the system and business, I guarantee they wouldnot do it again
Watch what you do....
