fish is best done in foil on the BBQ, unless it's a whole fish and you have one of those proper fish trays you can get especially for the barbie.
just a sprinkling of mixed herbs, crushed chilli flakes and some olive oil is all you need for an excellent fish dish.
also, veggie kebabs are yummy on the BBQ. it's best to par boil little onions first, and the skewer them with some pieces of mushroom, pepper, courgette. mozzarella balls are also a yummy addition to a veggie kebab, but don't need long!
peppers stuffed with rice and then topped off with some cheese work really well too. cook the rice, add into the pepper and then place on the BBQ until softened and chargrilled a little, then add some cheese on top until it's gooey and melting!0 -
Chunks of halloumi cheese skewered with veggies would be nice. They should hold their shape. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Big mushrooms filled with garlic butter and wrapped in foil. Also par boil wedges of sweet potato and then finish them off on the BBQ wirh a marinade if you like“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

I like a vege kebab with the following alternated cherry tomato, mushroom, red pepper, cougette, onion. Make sure all the chunks are of a similar size - no need to pre-cook anything and just turn them over until they're done - lovely. (Sometimes I add pieces of tuna to this and thats really nice too)0

Potato slices!
Peel and thinly slice potatoes, lightly cover in olive oil, season and pop them straight on the BBQ. Yum!0 -
this IMHO is the don of BBQ websites - theres a massive fish & veggie section on there
http://www.barbecue-online.co.uk/bbq_recipes.htm:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Quorn anything works really well on a BBQ

I'm having problems with the mega index in the indexed collection, but if you can access it there should be something in the Cooking section listed under barbeques.
Mmmm veggie barbeque food. Delish! How about making a garlic butter and rolling corn on the cob in it using the leaves as a 'handle'? Or doing them plain then drizzling olive oil and crushed black pepper over them?
I have to stay indoors at barbeques because of the smoke so I like to pick at the salad stuff. Always happy to see a bowl of home made coleslaw or potato salad.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Bananas !! I hate them on BBQ but wife loves them with ice cream. Just put the Banana on the BBQ and after 5 or 10 mins the skin will be black. It is then ready to eat & will be slightly gooey inside. If you leave them too long just watch out for the skin bursting as you then get it all over the coals.
Most fish cooks really well if you have one of those things to hold the fish - think ours cost £1.99 for a decent one.0
