Orange student mobile contracts

https://www.orange.co.uk/students.

Hi i'm having trouble wityh this site, it wont let me 'log-in' with my NUS number, so im gonna have to go along to an orange shop to chewck out the student deals... but can anyone with a valid NUS number / ucas number please check out this site and tell me what phones/deals are available so i dont waste my time goin to the shop. Have known orange contracts to be good in the past with high text amounts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Orange contracts are good but I found vodafone student contracts are absolutely amazing :)

Free unlimited texts, free unlimited picture messages, 200 Anytime minutes WITH sotp the clock (so take for longer than 3 mins but just pay for first 3 at off peak times) etc etc

And I'd recommend you buy from a vodafone shop :) if there are any problems, its easier to go into a shop then sort it through email.

MercilessKiller, I'd totally agree with you!

I was on orange student for a year, hardly got anything! £19 for 60 anyone anytime minutes and 1000 texts and unhelpful orange assistants. changed to vodafone, have to have an 18 month contract, £25 a month (but got £50 trade in for old phone) and I get unlimited texts and picture messages, 125 anyone anytime minutes and stop the clock.

Texts, although unlimited you get up to 3000. There customer support is also great and they answer any emails!

Last year they tended to advertise towards the end of summer. The website is still running, but it is last years https://www.vodafone.co.uk/students It's usually in their catalogue thing though

I recommend going into the vodafone shop but aye they're amazing :)

I used to dislike vodafone, but to be honest the Sharp phones (linked with voda) are just amazing phones, so couldn't resist. Plus this contract CANT be beaten by any other provider.

A T-Mobile sales person tried selling me a contract. They said they'd try and beat vodafones and I laughed. When I told him what vodafone had gave me, he couldn't believe it and the conversation ended there hahaha

lol.. mark.. if you're going to make criticism or recommend other companies at least say why!!!

Student wise no one has beaten vodafone yet. If your recommending O2 state your reasons?

No point saying "i think thats better" and thats it..

yes but does anyone actually know that the deals are on orange at the moment? I want to make an informed decision based on all the deals around!
I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.

I'd avoide orange, they arn't particulaly amazing...

If your a geek I'd look into T mobiles Web 'n Walk and their "u fix it" contacts. Basically 520texts, 100 mins, unlimited 3g/gprs (up to 2gig) plus a PDA phone. No other provider can better this...

I've been having problems with Orange and their "insurance" policy, suppodily my accidental phone damage was my fault :)... even if i dont know how it occured

T-mobile Flext plans are pretty much the best ones going at the moment, even for non-students! They are flexible price plans so you can talk or text as much as you like, you don't have to be tied down to a specific quantity of product each month. One problem, there is no rollover but you have to work quite hard to finish it off!

I'm on Vodafone at the moment and am quite !!!!!! off that picture messages are no longer included in the extras pack that I negotiated for free at the end of my last contract. Might have to ask if they can swap me to the student contract for free picture messages.
  • Has anyone found out the Orange student deals?

    http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/students

They have some of the offers there but none of the prices etc till you enter NUS / UCAS Number. Like the original poster my NUS number isn't working..

The other networks look nice but I've always been on orange and I like my phone atm which is locked on orange afaik so I would like to see the orange student prices before I make a decision to change..

So yeah if your nus works can you post the details here thanks!

    Would greatly appreciate it..
