All room heights 8ft

Bedroom 1 (13ft by 11ft)

Strip all wallpaper off, easy fill ceiling, plaster where electrics were done, sand all walls and ceiling, sand all woodwork down, paint ceiling and walls, undercoat woodwork and gloss.

£450 inc labour and materials

Bedroom 2 (12ft by 11ft into bay)

Same as bed 1, but plastering 2 big walls and around bay window.

£450 inc labour and materials

Bedroom 3 (8ft by 7ft5")

Plaster where electrics were done, plaster 2 walls, easy full all cracks in celing, sand all walls, ceiling and paint. Sand all woodwork down and doors etc, underocat all woodwork and gloss

£300 inc labour and materials

Living room (12ft10 by 11ft)

To strip wallpaper off walls and plaster where electrics have been done, fill in cracks in ceiling and sand ceilings and walls down, take off skirting boards and replace with new. Take out cupboards etc. Paint walls and ceiling, undercoat all woodwork and sand down. Gloss all woodwork.

£490 inc labour and materials.

Front sitting room (12ft by 11ft)

All the same as living room and plaster board and plaster where fireplace is.

£510 inc labour an materials


Landing and hallway

Plaster where electrics were done, easy fill ceiling, sand and paint ceiling, sand all woodwork, undercoat and gloss, paint inside porch.

£200 inc labour and materials.

Have been told day rate £85

Kitchen (14ft by 6ft)

Strip out kitchen total replaster of walls and ceiling. Paint walls and ceiling and gloss where needed.

£440 inc labour and materials

Staircase Handrail

To sand down all staircase handrail stairs and landing. Fit 20 new spindles and undercoat paint. Then paint all handrail in white gloss.

£290 inc labour and materials.

Bathroom (6ft by 7ft)

To strip wallpaper off in bathroom. Paint walls and ceilings, gloss where needed. Fit new wall mirror. Replace 5 new tiles and grout.

£210 inc labour and materials

Garage roof (30ft 7ft5)

Strip, re-board and re-cover the shallow pitched roof over the garage - felt and timber board -20 year guarantee

£800

Covering felt underneath slates with a UV reflective paint ontop of bay window

£175

  • Lets change that to will I be ripped off if I proceed.

    The only things I have done is kicthen and bathroom and roof.

    Need to know if everything else is expensive or reasonable.

    simply put NO..

    stripping walls, plastering sanding glossing, it all tikes time and the paint isnt cheap you have had a good price...

    hello - if this helps - I've been told that for an average 'easy wall' to plaster (no picture rail etc) and all the prep work done that it would be £70 per wall to put on a skim.

    The prices dont seem to bad to me.

    Yes, not overpriced at all as long as the people are tradesmen.

    Do they have their name on the van, just the fact that its there speaks volumes.

    Yep. Where I live people are not allowed signwriting on vans. It is quite common in new built areas apparently..

    Our house was built about 1995.
