    Hi guys....

Super long time since I last posted and a whole lot has happened.

Where to start....well, DS1 was expelled in May and now goes to the PRU (pupil referral unit). He has been doing really well and has taken Level Entry 2 exams in Maths and English. We are waiting for the results... He should be starting at the local college sometime during the next term with a package of education to suit his needs, within this they will also be fast tracking his GCSE's so he should be taking these at the end of year 10. His behaviour at home has got better and better as there is not the constant black cloud hanging over him!

DS2, DS3 and DD are all doing quite well at school. I have to keep an eye on DS2 as I see him going the same way as his brother. Both boys have had referrals to CAMHS but still waiting for appointments to come through! The chances of us getting a formal diagnosis is low but I will keep on fighting!

Both my youngest two have started to have contact with their dads after many years. Long story how this all came about but it is going well and I have my fingers crossed that it will continue that way.

I had to give up college in May as I couldnt attend because of all that was going on with DS1. I have recieved my distinction certificate and sometime in the future I may return when the children are older.

Moneywise, I have slipped back a bit. I need to get my head down and figure out a way to get back on track. I always found the diary on here the best way to get me back on track!

Sorry that you had to stop college - it seemed to be the perfect thing for you, and I really hope you can continue.

Hope all goes well with the various kids' "stuff" too. Don't forget to look after yourself in all this.

As for the money stuff, well there is nothing that can't be gotten sorted, is there.....:)

    Thanks:)

Very true. I am going to make a start today. I have already made a list of everything in the freezer and will be trying to use this up over the next week. I have booked in a Tesco delivery for next week (late wednesday night so it only costs me £3) This will mean I will be able to stay within budget, which I have not been doing lately! It stops all those extras ending up in my basket:)

I have planned one trip for the children in the holidays. We are going up to london on 26th to visit the natural history museum. I need to book our train tickets (about £50) the museum is free and I will be taking snacks and drinks in a rucksack. I will treat them to lunch while we are there (probably McDonalds) This should be a reasonably cheapish day and it is the only one I am paying for during the six weeks off.

In October I have arranged to go away to London with a friend for the weekend. We have booked our hotel and paid for our tickets to see Grease. I need to work out a proper amount to take for the weekend.

I have already started (in MSE style) to think about xmas. I have prepared a list of presents for the kids and their dads are coming in with me to make it cheaper. Now I need to bargain hunt.

I think I may rejoin PAD as that worked really well for me last time.

Luckily my money is not out of hand, I don't pay any interest at all. However I can see that if I don't keep an eye on it that it will be easy to let it get out of hand. I would like to see some proper savings in the bank.

One of my worst habits lately is buying stuff from the shop that I don't need every time I go in just to buy milk, this has started to add up significantly. I need to stop this. I will be starting a spending diary again. Writing it down means I am more aware of it.

I am still doing up the house. Recently I borrowed the money off my dad to re-carpet upstairs before the winter kicks in. I would like to pay him back as soon as possible. I must admit it is so nice to have something on the floor finally after three years on no flooring, so I don't regret it, just want the debt gone!

The house is starting to take shape, but there is a long way to go. I don't like cutting corners, I like the job done properly. This means it is going to take a long time!

    Feels good to be back:)

    Hi Beanie:)

Yes its been a hard few months or so, but I am determined to get back to it. Just joined the grocery challenge for August so that should keep me busy today, planning meals and shopping list:)

    Hope you are ok? x
