Hi, has anyone been contacted by Vodaphone and been offered a cheaper mobile phone deal for other members of their household.

My OH was called today and offered 300 mins, unlimited texts and a free mobile phone (choice of Nokia 6303, Nokia 5230, LG Viewty, Sony W595 or Sony C510) for another member of his household for only £10 per month.

Is this a good deal or are there better ones out there? and if it is a good deal, which is the best phone?

Many thanks to anyone who replies
My question may be simple...but please don't assume that I am

Seems like a half decent deal depending on how long the contract is, if it's 24mths i'd be put off with it.
I think it depends on what you want the phone for I personally think the sony's are good if you like music and a good camera, nokia is good all around but not usually a high spec camera phone, but has okay storage for music photos etc
Thats all just in my own opinion though.
Out of all of them I like the 5230 i think you also get sat nav on it too and it's free now too, no idea how good it is, or if it's any use to you.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

Its a very good deal. Even on a 24 month contract bare in mind you can always buy a new phone if anything happens to the old one. Lower mid range phones but they are by no means bad phones. That deal is normally 15 in shops.

It won't be a good deal at all unless you get it in writing beforehand. Vodafone have a habit of making promises on deals for customers to find they get something far more expensive and not what they agreed to. Apart from that, it might not even be Vodafone calling - that happoens too. I'd never agree to anything offered by phone unless I had it in writing first. Beware!

I always give good advice; it's up to others to decide whether to agree with it or attack it.
